All this talk makes me drool.
Also, in addition to what the output may bring the interface is also an important argument, it might be another area where this machine can really shine. Both in regards to aesthetics and workflow - omg how awesome the look'n'feel of the U-He plugins are.

To whet my appetite of what a u-he drum synth could be like this week I've purchased the beta of Xils StiX - www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=452942 . It'll certainly tide me over until the day (possibly) comes when we get a u-he percussion VSTi, but like AAS's Ultra Analogue until I got Diva I'll always be thinking of what I could be using to make sounds with !

Looking nice - the sequencer part reminds me of Tremor https://fxpansion.com/products/tremor/mcbpete wrote:To whet my appetite of what a u-he drum synth could be like this week I've purchased the beta of Xils StiX - http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 1&t=452942 .
The polyrhythmic sequencer abilities made me buy it some time ago.
Still, even if there were no such "advanced" sequencer in an U-He drum synth (which I think they would include, tho
I'd expect an U-He drum synth to be something like a Mini-Zebra2 with a drum-seq. I have to admit reading some of the posts in this thread make me try to use Zebra2 for percussion / drum-sounds...

I was pondering whether to go for Tremor or StiX and so trialled both - the latter [even thought currently in beta] seemed to have slightly more flexibility in the sound engine (ability to mix and match samples with synthesis - sort of like bits of Tremor mixed with bits of Geist) so I ended up purchasing it at the reduced priceR.A.W. wrote:Looking nice - the sequencer part reminds me of Tremor https://fxpansion.com/products/tremor/mcbpete wrote:To whet my appetite of what a u-he drum synth could be like this week I've purchased the beta of Xils StiX - http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 1&t=452942 .

I have to agree with everyone:
If there's one thing I'm eager for, AFA u-He's concerned, its a drum SYNTH (not sample player, mind you).
I'm sure the boys could come up with some genuine idea about the subject... and a smashing interface.

Stix just fueled my desire for an u.he drum machine, Stix sound nice but as with all XIls products its GUI and ease of use is very far from my liking. I can only dream what u-he could deliver.
Right now uTonic is still the best drum synth for me, but it could be so much better.

Gave a try to Stix, didn't like it at all.
DrumSpillage2 is supposed to be updated anytime soon, I'm damn curious to see which improvements they've made (no matter how good it already is, there's room for some).
Given that I rely almost exclusively on Diva and Bazille for everything but (most) drums, I can totally imagine myself loving a U-He drum synth. I totally gel with U-He's workflow and sound.

No I'm showing you that your issue is not with samples but with UI/Categoresation/Workflow etc. You don't need to scroll thru, there other ways of organizing - pre-sorting, tagging, description search etc.pdxindy wrote: No, you try to dismiss what I said but it stands (for me). I dislike scrolling through and auditioning long lists of samples. I am not going to spend my time on something that I dislike and feel un-creative with.
And the same problem is applicable to presets. And it's not drum samples vs drum synths anymore.
Murderous duck!
