I have a project that has multiple tracks. For some reason one track is shaded, almost like its in the background. The audio is visible but the track will not produce any sound. Did I push a wrong button. Anyone run into this before? How do I get the sound/audio back?

Is that the whole track or just a clip? In the last case I suspect that you muted the clip (shortcut 'M'). In the first case it could be a frozen track. There is an 'unfreeze track' button in the properties panel.

I don't believe a whole track can be shown shaded.
If the clip is shaded, I assume it's muted (Not the Mute on the right side! The Mute on the properties of the clip)
Btw.: A frozen track becomes very small and cannot be expanded, but it's not shaded.

Yes, it puzzled me too. Perhaps a screenshot would give a better idea of what is happening.fanta1 wrote:I don't believe a whole track can be shown shaded

Yes I am new to this software, so here is what I've done. Recorded a band into tracktion via usb. Individual instr. , mic,s etc were recorded using multiple tracks. I have 10. track 6, a drum input, is shaded. It's not muted on the track or in properties, it's not frozen. If I view source info I can view and listen to the clip in the window. I've attached a pic of the screen. Thanks for the help

Can you select the clip in Track 6 named "Track 6 Recording 2" and post a screenshot?
It certainly looks like the clip has been muted or somehow has a transparent background colour.
Is the clip audible during playback (i.e. do Track 6's meters move)?

The track is not muted. It is not audible which is why I am posting. I need to make it audible. As stated, If I view source info it is audible in the pop up.

The clip is muted. Click on the button (loudspeaker icon) right next to the 'gain' parameter in the properties panel (or shortcut 'M' when the clip is in focus).
