Not all DAW's support ARA, which allows the "seamless" access within the DAW like Tracktion does. However, you can always run Melodyne standalone to edit waveforms.
Remember the bundled Melodyne Essentials has limitations - no polyphony, no formants, no MIDI conversion; even the right-click menu is missing most of the useful options.

Well it runs just as it did before ARA came along, as a plugin (and yes it's a cut down version). afaik all the ones that do support ARA bundle it anyway.

I was thinking it would be a good cheap way to get it for studio one - and get a DAW to boot (I quite like some things about Tracktion). I thought you could do the midi thing with Essentials..Peter Widdicombe wrote:Not all DAW's support ARA, which allows the "seamless" access within the DAW like Tracktion does. Doesn't Studio One bundle it already? All the versions I've had did, maybe the cutdown one doesn't, but does that support ARA?

It was bundled in v2.x, not sure if they removed it in 3.aMUSEd wrote:Doesn't Studio One bundle it already? All the versions I've had did, maybe the cutdown one doesn't, but does that support ARA?

I didn't realise it wasn't included. tbh I have a spare license as I have it for S1 and Tracktion, I'd be happy to let you have it if it's not too complicated to transfer. It's not even registered.
