Indexing

Is there any way at all for Bitwig to NOT index my whole, huge VST folder EVERY time I launch it?
Seriously, it's annoying as hell. 90% of the boot-up time is spent indexing because it does it literally every time, and there haven't even been any changes in the folder! Most annoying of all, most plugins won't finish loading until the indexing is done!
What can I do about this? It's driving me mad.

Hi
go to your browser on the right hand side of screen and select the little gear icon
then you can select each vst etc etc location and turn it off
they are orange in colour when they are set to monitor location and white when de-selected
hope that helps
cheers

I put everything i have on an ssd.
If you got a really big libary it might be too expensive... just worth a thought...
I don't know another way, cause to me splitting your libary doesn't make any sense.
Cheers

the only good reason why this is happening is, to make sure that everything is in place before you start at all.

I have a large sample library and Bitwig Studio periodically freezes for a few seconds when it's loading a sample or a plugin. I reported this issue a long time ago and it's still there. I'm starting to think that devs can't reproduce it at all. Here is the video I've made to demonstrate it (note the periodically appearing "Loading..." text at the bottom of the window). Does anybody else have something like that?

I've converted my previous video to mp4 and have put it here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/335 ... oading.mp4 (you should right click and select "Open link in new tab" to show the video)

I have the same issue on Linux, especially when loading presets for the drum container.I have a large sample library and Bitwig Studio periodically freezes for a few seconds when it's loading a sample or a plugin. Sometimes it takes ten seconds until a preset is loaded which is a workflow killer.

I use Linux too and it starting to look like a Linux-only issue. Hope that someone from Bitwig devs will read this forum, because I simply don't know what else I can do to help them make a fix.
Also, there is one additional issue: if you listen to my video carefully, then you should notice a click at the end of the almost every kick sample. But this is off-topic for this thread.
