Sampleconstruct wrote:I find it quite remarkable what Phonem can do in the overtone domain, here the modulation wheel morphs the more conventional vocal sound into some ethereal texture and unfolds all these harmonics...
Lovely tones... Phonem has quickly become one of my favorite synths. It's quite unique!

This one uses a Shakespeare quote to create the utterances:

I am still holding out for a demo version. I really want Phonem, but not if I can't use it successfully in real-time on my old computer.

Another soundbank to put on my list.
After having purchased alicense for Phonem that is.
Is the delay from Phonem itself, or external?

All FX on my Phonem demos are external, I don't really know what to do with the internal effects to be honest.

Five Phonems in a slightly strange New Age atmosphere, including a laughing monkey, monophonic solo voice and 3 sounds using re-synthesized granulated soprano sax textures to excite the utterances.

If I were living in the US of A, I would now be busy picking up my jaw from the floor.

Your enthusiasm is audible in every sound and every note.
You have passed the test with flying colours and so you get your Phonem driver's license.
Wow...

Cheers, Erik
I haven't been so enthusiastic about an instrument since the alpha-testing of Falcon

OK.
I am not afraid of manuals or more complex synths, and your enthusiasm convinced me.
So welcome Phonem, and as a 'thank you' to you I added Phonemclature also.

:tu: :tu: Great, welcome to the world of Phonem then, quite a universe to explore...

yeah... it is quite a broad landscape to explore. I appreciate unique synths.

Phonem is one of my "never will part with this synths". It is the one thing I have been looking for for some years... a good vocal synth that did it for me.

And Wolfgang just updated Phonem, we now have fixed synced LFOs which actually produce tight sequencer grooves without unintended stuttering (not so much in the bass register as that's the nature of this synthesis form) and we have LFO cycles up to 8-bars, which expands the possibilities for long evolving, yet tempo-synced texture a lot. Thank's Wolfgang!

Simon, again thanks for your help on this issue!
And, although I do not comment every time, your demos are always a highlight of the day :)
