Just simply don't exclude soundbanks from the voucher then you don't need to think about it further. "Some day" isn't very promising when the voucher expire in two weeks.

EDIT: I read now in the middle of this thread that we have to send a email. Will do. Thank you Urs! :tu:
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

$25 off ACE makes it an incredible deal (USD $60 right now). Such a lovely underrated gem IMO.
Feel free to call me Brian.

Hey who says ACE is underrated? :)

I think ACE is ACE.

Anyway, I will probably grab Hive because I was stupid and didn't do the pre-release thing.

But is it possible to get discount on TDZ or extend coupon timeframe when I don't have "all" but have "all I wanted to buy" (I have no interest in Hive or MFM  )?
Murderous duck!

Aw shucks.. I was hoping to use it on that. How about I have no interest in TDZ but just want ZebraHZ? :hyper:

Whaddyamean "just"? ;-)
I mean for this coupon purpose it is considered as just a soundset but the $99 price tag takes in consideration that it includes enhancments to the synth as well. At $99 it almost has to be more than a soundset.

TBH, Dark Zebra would be my first choice if it didn't count as a sound set. I own licenses for all the U-He synths except Hive plus a license for MFM.

Honestly I would have filled out the survey just to help out U-He (but don't tell anyone... ;) )

There's never going to be a be all end all way to go about things. We're paying fair prices for soundsets, either full up or on commission. 25$ would be like a 50% discount or more on some of them, and that's just not gonna work. Drawing a line is difficult and that's why I was against adding TDZ to it.

Maybe next time we do a coupn thing we'll do a percentage rather than a set discount. That could include soundsets then.

We'll see...

As for not having anything new until January 31st, that may not quite be true. We're going to announce another "research ware" soon, mostly to secure the trademark. Because unlike Protoverb, we have a very concrete plan to turn it into a product later on. It's basically part of a filter design toolkit I'm developing for Z3 that looks like it's got great potential for spin offs in Diva, ACE and Filterscape, as well as being its own thing. We're talking Diva divine quality at half the CPU - if the feedback from the research ware is significant enough to make us confident about it. However, this won't be out until GOK when.

But it would be payed-research-ware then i.e. it would have price?

The research ware is going to be free of course. It's going to be something akin "can you spot the difference between a an expensive filter and a cheap one?" and "what's the defining threshold?". In other words, we're going to explore the boundaries of perception with a true double blind AB test. Even we won't know what you got, much like the random seeds in Protoverb.

Then, if it pans out any other than "arbitrariness", we'll make a product from it. There's a great little concept that doesn't fit any of our others, it begs to be done.

We got to the point where we must release something new at least once every year, and it must sell. So our research ware strategy has several purposes. We want to involve people in the development process and we want to spread the word. Nothing spreads the word like freeware (if you don't do "subsidize ware", for ethical reasons whatsoever). Furthermore, reseach ware can give us a direction for those last 5% of a development process that takes so much more energy than the first 50%. So we want to counter our fears by something ambitious that everyone will benefit from. Or so. And also a tad of a viral aspect.

Something like that.

Well but then I'm simple have nowhere to use coupon, since DZ/ZHZ have no discount and no future product is going to be presented except research where.

I mean, I'm happy user of Uhe products and would answer questions without coupon, but now I have short living coupon and have simple nothing to buy with it.

May be there would be an option to extend it?
Or I got it wrong and there would be some product.

How will you know who has two good ears? There are many musicians whose hearing
has been thrashed, but still think their audio opinions are polished platinum.
Hearing range could be even more a concern when the testing is done on filtering.

Maybe do a small separate test using youthful orchestral music students
for comparison, to verify that results from the damaged-goods rock generation
are meaningful, or just marginal? A double-blind test among the double-deaf? :?
Ouch :hihi:

I agree. Perhaps the poll is still in beta, and we can hope for an updated RC? :hyper:

Is it possible that Dark Zebra was priced 'too low', as a secret gift to
the Zebra community? 8)

I understand that a 25$ discount on a soundset that cost 50$ is not possible, but why not make an exception for the Dark Zebra? It has a similar price point as other U-He products that are eligible for coupon use. Also, it requires Zebra 2, so this ensure that the potential buyer has at least this U-He plug-in
Just my 2 cents

Cheers
