Both is already possible!
Transpose all notes of a clip:
1. Double-click the track with your midi-clip (to bring up the midi edit mode).
2. Click on *one* note in that midi-clip to select it.
3. Press Ctrl-A. Now all notes of the clip are selected.
4. Now use the transpose button in the middle bottom window.
Adding a mono/stereo Switch:
1. Create a new Rack (calling it perhaps 'mono').
2. Drag a volume/pan filter into the rack, letting it auto-connect.
3. Put the volume of that filter to -6 dB.
4. Cross-connect the filter's output with the rack output.
You can now place this rack wherever you want mono - be it on a single track or on the master volume. You can switch on/off mono by switching on/off the filter (select it and press 'f').
Enjoy!

Ok, I meant just a button or switch or something so you don't have to do the steps you describedmalamut wrote:Both is already possible!![]()

By the way, is there a way to add a rack to the other filters, so that you can use it in another project ? Or is it possible to copy a rack/filter with its settings to a clipboard and the paste it into another projects edit ?

You have to go through those steps only once in your life.wazun wrote: Ok, I meant just a button or switch or something so you don't have to do the steps you described![]()

You can save a rack with the 'manage preset racks' button, then load it with the 'new rack button'.By the way, is there a way to add a rack to the other filters, so that you can use it in another project ? I agree it would be nice if you could transpose a midi clip without having to open it and select individual notes. Actually I think all midi operations should work on whole tracks as well.

I disagree on both.amoebe wrote: I agree it would be nice if you could transpose a midi clip without having to open it and select individual notes. Actually I think all midi operations should work on whole tracks as well.
I think it is reasonable that you have to put a clip to edit mode before editing it. It is also resonable that you have to point out to Tracktion whether Ctrl-A should select all clips, or all notes inside a clip. The whole operation takes less than a second if you are used to it. Introducing extra buttons for tasks which can already be accomplished so easily makes it more difficult to use the product in the end.
To transpose complete midi tracks, I recommend the pitch shift filter placed in front of any soft synth. This will issue a superflous warning (I consider that a flaw which Jules will hopefully remove one day) but work without any problem.
Enjoy!
