What you are talking about is being able to draw lines from wave to wave in any arbitrary order on the fly. So for example, you have A, B, C, D, E, F, G and you can draw a line from A to D to C to B to F back to D and then to G where the line between A and D would morph directly between those 2 and not through B and C and so on.
Basically, yes
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

And i don't think it's cool either that some companies get all the shit, just because they aren't do-gooders, or act like non-profit organisations who run their business like a charity organisation. And it is still my belief that anyone claiming that company would consist of greedy bastards who only see their own profit should really think about what it means to run a business, and ask themselves if they wouldn't do the exact same, if it was their business, and they would want to stay alive and in the business (apart from the fact that there isn't a multinational fat greedy bastard corporation in this business anyway). See, if you don't like it, why the interest then, and why do you even shove money up their fat greedy a**es again and again. I wouldn't want to do that really. But i don't think that Tone2 are fat, greedy bastards anyway, so...

Frankly, i would love to see a thread where we can discuss about a new Tone2 plugin in the way people can talk about a new u-he plugin. You know, without all that irrelevant political trash. Just about the technicality. I felt like the thread was on a good way to that, after the first and 2nd page stuff about the marketing, which hasn't even been marketing yet even, except for that "best wavetable synth" stuff or something.
I think you're reading too much into it - I criticised TSC for adding the Marketplace to Tracktion as well and it's my favourite host. I would do exactly the same if u-he did it, in fact I would probably be even more pissed off as I have most of their plugins. The problem is I just don't like to have shops built into my software, if I want to buy something I will choose to go to their site and buy it, I don't want it in my face. As it is it isn't exactly what I thought it was, but even so if I'm interested in a plugin, and this is interesting, I'm probably going to want to point out any niggles or concerns I have that may get in the way of buying it more than if I didn't give a crap about it. I also think if companies don't hear this sort of feedback then they are never going to change anything.

Do people feel smarter when they knock something? Is that why they do it so much?

Yes.

Ex: endless YouTube comments on videos of older music saying "I'm X years old (always under 18) and love this music. My generation's music is so bad. I hate Justin Bieber."

Sometimes it's not even that old. Even 90's alternative can fall victim to "retro" fetishism

And don't forget according to Tone 2, "All sounds are properly programmed – they are ‘not just samples’."

I die laughing every time I see that statement. Really, really says a lot.

Don't ask me about technicalities (as that's a part I don't care about, in all honesty), what I can tell you is that I've been designing patches for the factory bank for a month and a half and I haven't even scratched the surface of this synth's possibilities. I love it even more than I do Nemesis (and god knows how deeply I love Nemesis), it's very easy to use, but it keeps you digging and digging and there's always something new to find... and it sounds great. I'm already making an album with Icarus only, I can't post any snippet yet, though. It's a great synth, in the right hands, really.

Well, this sounds very encouraging indeed. I love Nemesis so if it's even better it should be great! :tu:

I can't wait to demo it.

I love Tone2. They gave me great discount when I was poor and needed it. Great guys, always reply to e-mails and treated me like I was the most important customer. Great plugins. Graphics very pleasing. Nemesis is awesome. My favorite synth.

I have only one question: When? NAMM?

Don't worry... They run faster than Zebra. (in terms of release date)

Similar? Yes. The same, not sure I'd agree. My Electra 2 and Rayblaster have some very significant differences.

I think the problem is the basic "plasticness " of their sound. That's what's similar. But if you pull the specifics of each synth apart, there are differences. Some subtle, some not so subtle.

Thats fair, but I do think Rayblaster is the one standout that does not sound at all like the others.
It will be interesting to see if this one falls into that same 'sound', considering we will be putting our own wavs in...
