I can't import LASS 2 (full) Library to Kontakt? Anyone knows why?
The funny thing is that I can easily import the smaller LASS sordino.

Problems importing or playing ?
Could be the Kontakt player version is too old which is what I'm finding with trying to load some libraries. Output's great synth Signal needs version 5.3.1 and my Rec 2+ is running an older version.
How I upgrade/update isn't something I've researched yet but K9 working great as is though.

Importing.
Nick at Muse also told me to update to 5.3.1. Embarrassed to ask how do I update to 5.3.1? (read: fear of messing something up).
Yes, I also love Outputs stuff. I have REV + loops, and are also getting the Signal and Exhale. I better update to 5.3.1

Hi Frank,
Sorry I can't offer anything constructive about importing issue short of "turn off/on again and repeat".
I would guess/hope that upgrading would be a case of - "drag n drop installers here" and then an offline authorisation, if required and when I get a mo I'll try it.

Thanks, Bob. I got the 5.3.1. dll now and I've been advised what to do. Only thing is that LASS 2 needs 5.5

Hi
I managed to install LA Scoring strings (The large library) in kontakt v 5,3,1.37
In mix mode go
Setup
Run utility
Refresh plugins
Proceed.
Now when it stops press "don't change "until you get to a screen where you can see
One of the kontakt5 plugins in two versions "kontakt5 8out" or kontakt5 16out. Etc etc
You will see that there are two versions one has the path name greyed out the other dosent.
Look at the text and move the mouse onto the 64 bit version text so that it becomes grey.
Click the ok button on the dialog box.
You have now replaced the 32 bit version with the 64 bit version.
The 64 bit version that you chose will appear in rack mode with a 64 in the bottom right hand corner of the miniature icon in rack mode.(it will not appear in mix mode as it is only 32 bit)
If you chose kontakt5 8out the 32 bit kontakt5 8out will disappear in mix mode but the other kontakt5 versions will still be there ie kontakt5 16out ,kontakt5 etc.So you will still be able to use kontakt in mix mode.
Now you can go to Rack mode and load LAScoring strings into the kontakt plugin that is 64 bit.
Once you have registered the library it will also appear in mix mode in the library field of kontakt5 in mix mode.(32 bit)

Thanks andym63 ; great info about the dll's. I'm running 5.1.0.6066 on a 2+ which is why I struggled with loading some non NI libraries. Look forward to trying your 5.3.1 fix.
Hi Frank , I'm surprised any Library would need v5.5 which is only just out. Audiobro's website says 5.0.2 will do but that may well be out of date info (5.0.2 sounds a long time ago). Good luck and hope you get it up and running.
I have K10 on big 'ld studio pc running Kontakt ver 5.4.2245 would copying/pasting that dll work ? Does Kontakt in K9 have a limit to what dll it'll work with ? I'm a bit apprehensive about messing with receptor too much " if it aint broke etc etc".
If I get the 5.3.1 dll working then I'll try replacing with later versions and report what happens

Nothing Higher than 5,3.1 will work i have tried.But feel free i might be mistaken.
I think Muse are waiting for wine developers to fix so that 5,5 will work.
That is proberbly why nothing is happening.
Wine runs behind Muses GUI in linux and duplicates functions of Windows by providing alternative implementations of the DLLs that windows programs call. If i have understood the problem correctly NI have released Kontakt 5,5 Dll,s that are not compatible with the current version of wine.So the developers have to fix wine then muse can release a fix.
