load the Dimension Pro sounds in the menu system. Nice touch!
And no circus switching between Tablesynth and Dimension sounds, just normal
menu use. Suite.
Yes and it can find some old Alchemy SFZ as well, just thought I'd add a feature to check if they are installed. More fun!

People remember such things.

Daags wrote:I want to make my own voices for Alter/Ego and Chipspeech. and by make my own voices, I don't mean emulate existing chipsets.

will this happen, or will that impede on the content-selling aspect of this business model ?
We hope to make a dev kit available so that users can make their own voices as long as they are freely distributed. Commercial voices would need our OK. Just like in sforzando.

But it is a HUGE undertaking to do a voice.

chipsounds 2.0 supports a great variety of vintage song formats, we just wont tell you what we will do with that yet :)

Oh and we are working on a French language voice for Alter/Ego with VoxWave:
http://en.voxwave.fr/2015/12/11/alys-fo ... -10th-2016

French means lots of custom tweaks to the synth and phonetic engines.
Was a blast to do since French is our native tongue here at Plogue!

Stay tuned for demos!

That would be sweet.
Since many (at least the best and wellknown of the C64 music) used their own SID routines you can't speak of tracker mods in general so import of .sid-files would be tricky. Maybe they managed to support certain player routines like from Vibrants or old Rob Hubbard what would be a great feature already. I wouldn't hold my breath for MoN import btw.. :)

We emulate a C64 environment so, thus we can play any .sid file. (CPU emulation, CIA emulation etc)...

Sure, but not importing them like modules so that you can see the single instruments & notes of the seperate channels like in a tracker (sequencer) to study or change them i guess. I never meant playback of .sid files in general.

Of course, that would mean lots of extra logic and learning of all these players. But there are things we can do!

Does it do German? Would be great for Electronic Music.

Needs to have a dictionary/grammar logic and a voicebank for a specific language.
Who knows.

I'm still not clear on if Chipspeech is pure real time synthesis or utilises a sample database ?
