uuuuhhhhhh...I don't get it. Name?

When I generate a new folder in win7.1, it defaults to "untitled".

What does a name have to do with music?

mystified....

well, you've got the whole "building notoriety" aspect of show business down. people here know your real name as well as your alias.

alas, your soundcloud link is broken. this is an interesting tactic; build hype, while remaining mysterious.

i got my alias, halfwalk, from a recurring dream in which i could propel myself through space and time through the power of self-confidence and optimism, though the motion felt somewhat awkward since i was still using my legs. i was half-gliding, half-walking. and since dreams are a good source of inspiration for the music i compose, the name just sort of stuck.

it was either that or "silent L", of which there are two in "half-walk," but that sounds like a rap name ("L" being a term for an LP, which is slang for a blunt, or rather, a cigar stuffed with cannabis flowers, of which we smoked many in my hip-hop-producer days. also, i was really quiet and shy back then)

anyway, some people don't get it, some people don't like it, and that's all fine. but the name occurred to me and i liked it so i went with it.

my point is: pick what you like. people care more about your music than what you are called (see "butthole surfers" comment above), and since we can't even hear your music, what does it matter what we think you should be called?

The wannabe formerly unknown as GRIEF3R. :hihi:
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

I always liked the sound of "crapbucket".
Maybe you can try that for a while?
My other host is Bruce Forsyth

Yes I think you should change it…
