Brutal thread. But it's true.

It's staggering just how little people give a shit about other people's music (myself included in a lot of cases, if I'm really honest), let alone what name it's under. Just keep doing what you love, if you need a better name when you get popular, then worry about that and the logo and wotnot when it actually means anything. Your fans will accept the change if they are fans.

If you do get anywhere, chances are by then the name will stand for the goodness. I always thought Autechre and Aphex Twin had dumb names. I didn't even like the name Squarepusher when I first heard it but it's grown on me because I fuckin' love Squarepusher and now it's taken on new meanings as the artist grew into it and operant conditioning has taught me to associate it with aural treats (like the dog salivating at the ringing bell).

Stop scratching your head, get creative, and bit by bit things will fall into place. Or not. Just impress yourself.
