Yes, Tone2 plugins have the most "unhygenic" installation of any I've used on a Mac (besides Vengeance), adding all those files & folders in plugins, weird.

I loved the sound of Electra2 and Rayblaster enough to buy them - in spite of the weird marketing copy, not because of it. Also the audio demos don't do them justice. They both allow a really wide variety of sounds from a fairly simple control set, and are great for sample manipulation. Interested in Icarus when it becomes available, though Serum has set the bar pretty high for wavetable synths.

What some guys mean by "Plastic sound"? I always imagine Nylon Guitar (or Nylon strings in the classic guitar) when I read "Plastic". Is that what most mean? or is it like hitting a plastic container for example?

The 3D thing, I first remember the 3D modulation pad in Harmor (X,Y,Z). I don't know how this works for the wavetables though. In Codex it is 2D that you can move in the same wavetable (say X dimension) or/and stack of wavetables (say Y dimension).

It is interesting that Tone2 is thinking to implement something different. If I didn't have already 4 wavetable synths, I would be interested, but I'm overwhelmed with synths!
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Synthmaster also has '3D wavetable' algos

I rotated the picture (3d render) taht was posted at FAcebook by 90 degrees so maybe you could get a better impression of the GUI (the real one is of course mostly "flat"):

From this you could already see some specs of the synth like e.g. 3 Oscs (all 3 with similar features), 2 multimode filters, 4 envelopes, 3 LFOs + 1 Step LFO, 1 Arp/sequencer, 3 FX slots + dedicated EQ and Limiter FXs and 6 x 3 = 18 mod matrix slots (additionally 2 sections got dedicated LFO1/LFO2/LFO3 amount knobs for certain features).

Of course you could also see a bit more but you could check that yourself.

White noise a mod source? Cool. Curious what this "dual layer" in the arp stands for (Mr. Weidner, I'm not aksing to share any confidential info - just curious ;) ).

Oscillator stereo unison (hypersaws), wavetables, granulator ... - reminds me the feature set of some other synth ;)
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

FWIW Markus from Tone2 bought my Virus TI (Mk I) desktop (that i had since 2006) last year if that's what you mean... :)

That is correct: You can shape the waveform in 3 dimensions: Wave Index, Tone and Algorithm Parameter.

But you haven't seen our acoustic multisamples converted into wavetables yet  :hihi: :o

...and when might we see that feature?
