Superbooth hm? See you there then
research synth...
I may be wrong about this, but my gut says that the real market for controlling soft synths is going towards the 8 encoder mapping for physical devices, and to touch screen for deep sound design.Urs wrote:Regarding MIDI mappings... we hope to exploit the automapping functionality we created for Diva's NKS port in our other synths as well (might be very difficult for Zebra) and possibly for other controller protocols as well - if such exists.
As far as I know they're all coming.core wrote:Superbooth looks really interesting. Are the exhibitors listed at the exhibit space confirmed for this year?
I agree with your thoughts regarding new controllers.machinesworking wrote: and touch screen tech becomes standard.
Dental is a concern for sure.glokraw wrote:I agree with your thoughts regarding new controllers.machinesworking wrote: and touch screen tech becomes standard.
'touch' itself is a bit of a misnomer, since it's mostly tap and slide.
Touch is better linked to grasping, as with raised and tactile knobs,
dials, sliders, pushing of buttons, and pressing qwerty and midi keys,
and perhaps pressure sensitive track pads for x-y control as they
come to market.
tapNslide can play to it's strengths, and nicely augment existing hardware,
and become standard in niches where there are serious gaps in accessable controls. My bet is on it's limitations and ergonomic issues drawing market boundaries, that will change little in the next few years. I look forward
to getting a cheap android tablet with Remuda, to control my guitar amp.
And using the x-y pad on a Korg Taktile.
If I can cut a deal with thedentist

Novation Automap is the most longeve protocol of this kind, I've been using a Novation Remote Zero SL since 2005.Urs wrote:Regarding MIDI mappings... we hope to exploit the automapping functionality we created for Diva's NKS port in our other synths as well (might be very difficult for Zebra) and possibly for other controller protocols as well - if such exists.
I have a Fuji X-T1 camera and it is well made, has real dials and aperture ring and is a pleasure to use. It is not nostalgia that I enjoy it in a similar way to how I used to enjoy my old manual films cameras. It is an actual reason in the present, not remembrance of the past.machinesworking wrote:I just don't see the lack of tactile feedback on a touch screen as being a real issue to anyone who isn't getting caught up in nostalgia.
I did the survey and received the code a few hours later.chilly7 wrote:"The coupon code will be sent out to you in about a week and will be valid until January 31, 2016." ?
So today is January 28 means they will send me expired coupon?
You could also pick one up here. I still have mine, if you need it just pm.chilly7 wrote:"The coupon code will be sent out to you in about a week and will be valid until January 31, 2016." ?

The survey was primarily set up for people who subscribe to our newsletter, which has a large overlap with the group of customers who actively use our software. Those had more than two weeks of time.chilly7 wrote:"The coupon code will be sent out to you in about a week and will be valid until January 31, 2016." ?

The survey is furthermore not a "sales special". It has a very serious background in that we need to understand our existing customer base in order to make certain decisions.
In other words: The target group of the survey got notified in time. If you haven't heard about the survey in time to redeem the coupon, there's a high probability you're not part of its target group.
