I've installed Mdrummer samples and all (e.g. generator, layers, drum sets etc) on a separate drive. How do I tell the program to use this directory by default?

Documentation is thin on this but does make reference to running a config program....but that is no where to be found.

Any help apprciated

On Windows, it is in the Start >> All Programs >> MeldaProduction ... menu. The program name is MDrummerConfig.exe.

You don't need to do anything actually, MDrummer shall ask for it next time you run it and it cannot find the data ;).

Thanks, I should have specified that I was on a Mac.
I kept at this until i located the install file and re-running this took care of the issue.

I am not sure the program would have found the files on its own because it had found the few files that were part of the small mdrummer program I had tested, so may not have triggered a "cannot find data" event.

Incredibly deep program, but a bit surprising to not find a "set library" feature somewhere.

Thank you George. The idea is that it doesn't need a dedicated feature, because it knows if things gone wrong ;).

Thanks for the reply. I agree with your goal. In the situation I describe - where the few files from the Mdrummer small installation were being recognized....would the program eventually recognize that the larger sample set was NOT being seen on first installation?

Incidentally, playing with the smaller Mdrummer definitely convinced me to purchase. Nicely done.

Thank you. As for the folder, no, it finds the first one. But usually you should know where you put the data if you put it somewhere else than default.

Ok, why is it that none of these replies tells you what to do when you have the data library extracted, and MDDrummer still can't find it, either automatically or otherwise?

I'm sorry, I don't understand the question, is that what happens to you? If so, please contact me via info@meldaproduction.com, but I'm pretty sure it would be due to incorrectly downloaded/extracted data, it always is.

Downloaded the small version for free from Reverb.com because I wanted to try it. Installed it and it cannot find the "factory data".

Why is this a problem? I can see the files in the default install directory just fine.
