...if they are in fact different parameters then if so and how?...

...are they in fact the same thing while being "adjusted" from two different places...if so, then the "in band" graphic should follow any changes in the "general parameters" panel...and vise versa...

I've just tried it here:
With my initial setting, the input level was -2.99 dB and the output -3.49 dB
With the Band Editor level down at -3.99 dB, the output was -6.60 dB
With the General Parameter Input level down at -3.99 dB, the output was -7.47 dB
it seems like the latter is correct and adjusting the Band in the Band Editor is adrift. Or it does something different.

...after general testing I would confirm DS's observation, the "graphic" is adrift when changes are made in the "Band:general parameters" settings.../s~

Not really, these are different parameters. So you can use just one or both, can get handy for modulation for example.

...oh, ok...so, in thinking about it thought, are they applied in 1) parallel or 2) series, in which case in what order?...this level of subtly/control is quite remarkable and should/could be discussed/explained in the docs somewhere...never would have figured that one out my own...

Got to be in series, surely? In parallel (and both left at 0dB) would result is double the sound level being processed.

yes, but consider the possibilities with modulators on one or both.../s~

Coming back to this, I would like to understand it better. How are they different? And what explains the difference in levels that I saw in my previous post?MeldaProduction wrote:Not really, these are different parameters. So you can use just one or both, can get handy for modulation for example.
