the notes data calculation is the sluggish, BWS can handle app. 1000 notes data without problems(continuously) set anything in the note inspector with more than 1000 notes selected, so note selection should be optionally using the arranger clip operations or should be disabled if the note editor isn't visible(if it can break the arranger-editor working integration)

What!? This doesnt make sense :x
+1 to bring it back..... :dog:
I guess they removed it because it became redundant, since you can do it the way Volker describes below
volker@bitwig wrote:You can use key "1" as a modifier to temporarily switch to object selection tool. If you hold the key it acts as a temporary modifier and switches back to the previous tool after releasing. If you press and immediately release the key it acts as a switch. The same goes for the other timeline tools (keys 2, 3, ...).

Actually, I think this has been the case since 1.0, but they might have withdrawn it due to certain new features coming at NAMM.. hopefully. Personally I think that in principle there shouldn't be more than one tool doing things that one tool can do with a modifier.. Anyways, we will know soon enough. If that should confuse what the tool should be doing when the modifier is pressed (there could be more than one) then the tool's icon (same one) should change when the modifier is pressed.

nothing beats that big juicy ctrl button in the corner. I have however remapped the the 1, 2, 3, 4 to z, x, c, v so it is a little more ergonomic and quick (still loved using that ctrl though)

If they have better ideas for the ctrl though I'd be intrigued

Umm, how do I access these post recording actions? Maybe I'm just being blind but I can't find them.

volker@bitwig wrote: NEW - Added Post Recording Actions to clip launcher which are activated after a specified duration has been recorded. This can be used to record clips of a predetermined fixed length as well as to record multiple takes automatically to multiple clips.
By the sound of it, it seems like a interesting implementation of recording multiple takes. Might be more uses than just that ..

Does anyone know if the team has plans to improve the swing function? I'd really appreciate a more customizable swing/groove section. Ideally, a groove import from audio & midi would be nice, and a few selectable groove presets like you can in other DAWs. Lastly, independent swing amounts for each track.
Cheers.

Thanks for the updates!!

Click on the little triangle to the left of 'OVR'.

Ah, there it is, thank you. Pretty obvious to look for it in the recording options. :P

Great to have multi-take recording!

...next an observer in the API for that. :)

Ok. What about this one???

Every time when i created simple 4/4 clip for kick in launcher Sampler play it in constant sound without picks or anything. When i move it to arrange and duplicate clip my kick track sounds like this (with jumping gain):

https://soundcloud.com/marchenko/demo/s-pIWXU

Just sampler with no automation and no velocity sense.

UPDATE!!!

When i loop created clip like this

Everything is perfect!

but how do reach the whole left keyboard region, using the number keys u can reach(without hand moving) 1-2-3-4-5, tab-q-w-e-r etc. and with your thumb alt+c-v-b+space

the new ctrl+shift velo adjuster can be with pinky together (that's the new with 1.3.6)

I'm unable to reproduce this. Would you be able to collect and save your project with just this one track and send it to support so we can reproduce and fix?

Thanks!
