IOS turnado midi sync through tone stack

Tonestack has the ability to load turnado in as an effect pedal. This is a very awesome feature, but it will not recieve midi sync signals when i use it this way.

It does recieve midi sync when i set it up through audio bus. (Tonestack > Turnado > Audio Out). Im wondering if anyone has solved this riddle as this would make live guitar very fun
