Agreed. It should have said "free with purchase".Numanoid wrote:Come onBiome_Digital wrote:The 119 patches are free. You don't buy them, you buy the other pack and get 119 patches free. No deceptive.![]()
You can do better than that.
I like many of your Kontakt products. They are of good quality. No need for you to attract users by offering them a freebie, and then when they click the link they find out that they have to buy something to get it
Play it by ear

But it is not just Biome Digital who uses such tactics
For example JRR shop also send out such mails. Recently I got one about free UVI products, then clicking the link I find out that I have to buy something in order to get it.

That is a total no-brainer if there ever was oneGamma-UT wrote:An email from VSTbuzz says Virtual CZ is 60% off for the next two weeks (almost), so it's down to just under €28: http://vstbuzz.com/deals/60-off-virtual ... -boutique/
I got it for about €43 during the x-mas sale and thought that was a good deal

As a CZ-101, CZ-1000 and CZ-5000 (on-board "sequencer"!) user back in the day, I thought I'd be all over a virtual version. However, I demo'd it when it came out, thought it sounded cheesy in general and used too much cpu. Guess I'll demo it again if I can, but it landed with a bit of a thud here originally.Numanoid wrote:That is a total no-brainer if there ever was oneGamma-UT wrote:An email from VSTbuzz says Virtual CZ is 60% off for the next two weeks (almost), so it's down to just under €28: http://vstbuzz.com/deals/60-off-virtual ... -boutique/![]()

OT: That CZ sequencer was a "serviceable" companion to the Yamaha hardware sequencer we had back then, don't remember the model number. Boy, what a chore it was to do anything on that Yamaha, but it allowed us to do some pretty cool stuff live for a local band back then, and boy it was built like a tank. I remember the power browning out so bad one night that its display and all indicator lights went off, and it just kept playing. Like to see a DAW do that...

Best Emulation of the CZ Synthesizers. I made a video back in 2015 and for 28 Euro, it's just an absolute No-Brainer

How does UVI Cameo compare?

CAMEO is not bad, but I prefer VirtualCZ
CAMEO is CPU intensive, and I get some crackles when tweaking with the filters.
A better system than mine might not have these problems.
CAMEO is of course a lot more expensive now, in fact almost costing $100 more than VCZ during the sale

That crackling with the filters is a problem with the engine, not that particular product. It cripples the hell out of all my UVI libraries, which really sucks.Numanoid wrote:CAMEO is not bad, but I prefer VirtualCZ

Isn't it ironic that both CZ products are rather CPU intensive?

Huh? At least try to pretend to be interested in the bargain thread by reading the latest post in that threadvstbuzz wrote:VSTBuzz: 60% off “VirtualCZ” Synth Plugin by Plugin Boutique - Normally €67.99 now €27.99!

I don't find Virtual CZ very CPU intensive, I got a low key system, just 4GB RAMUncle E wrote:Isn't it ironic that both CZ products are rather CPU intensive?
For older systems, there is always the CZynthia plug to rely on

FWIW I have not noticed this problem running UVI libraries in Falcon, including CAMEO.pandashake wrote:That crackling with the filters is a problem with the engine, not that particular product. I have purchased a few things from VST Buzz with no issue (Rhythmic Robot's Lambda, Frozen Plain's Colourform, and Sample Logic's Havoc). When Frozen Plain updated Colourform, they (Frozen Plain) sent me a download for the new version and that went fine, too. The first two purchases were my first from each of the small developers, and I have subsequently purchased more good stuff from them. So I guess that using VST Buzz for marketing (or whatever the purpose may be) worked for them as well as for me.
