Hey peeps, I just wrote a work using nothing but my Telecaster and 7 tracks. Other than a couple of footpedals, mainly my TC overdrive and Seymour Duncan Vise Grip compressor, which is fantastic, all tracks have one or multiple U-he effects. Every one has an MFM2, then various others, the Protoverb for all reverbs, a phaser, EQ, and pitch shift from the Uhbiks, and I did quite a bit of VST control changes in various tracks of the effects too. Such fun to use things which have so many controls, and such great sound quality. The work I released a few days before this also uses all effects from U-he too, but with synths, electric bass and software drums. Tons of guitar tracks on that one too, Strat and Tele.

nice and chilled, so relaxing.... :tu:
it's like a delicious soup swirl with tasty u-he effects :D (hmm... has anyone had fruit soup before? Like cherry or apple?)

One cool thing I did you guys, for your production arsenals, relates to the 2 string chords that start at about 1:32. In order to separate the tracks and to really push the mid range, I used the Uhbik equalizer, dialed in the frequency area I wanted, then just automated the gain knob of it rather than pushing the volume slider, so not only did I get a sufficient push in volume, I also got it in a selected range which helped distinguish the tracks.

Sounds great rockmachine!

Panning the different guitar parts Left, Right and Center will probably increase the overall width and depth of the soundstage and will help create some more separation. For instance, as it is now, the strumming, picking as well as the solo parts are all in the center.

Just a suggestion. Everyone's stylistic approach and taste is different of course. And maybe you have already tried what I suggested but simply didn't like it.

Actually LFO8, I did that with 2 of the tracks. When I brought in the second "voice", I left it in the middle until slowly panning it somewhat to one side as the third voice was introduced for the very reason you cited. It is a little difficult also when you have nothing but stereo effects going on at the same time. Maybe I'll experiment with it again and try panning them a little more extremely left and right and see how it sounds. Staying open to ideas is the only way to keep improving, in music as well as life! Appreciate the appreciation. I've got scores of these types of things stored on SIMM cards for my divinely great Digitech JamMan Delay looping pedal, so I am feeling kind of encouraged to perhaps take a stab at developing some of the best ones into something really finished. Why they discontinued that pedal is totally beyond me. I would use it just for its delay alone if not for its highly capable looper.

This is great! Just tighten up the timing and bring in the 2:44 section waaay sooner (and repeat it!).
Seriously good work.

Is that what that delay is? Sounds lovely! I get what you are saying with the stereo effects. However all the direct and focused sounds are now in the middle (delays and reverb being diffused sounds).

Fun to experiment.

Don't worry LFO8, a rather extensive re-mix based on some things you cited is in the works, and actually, pretty much done, plus I am currently working on a completely new version using drums from Groove Agent. But no, all dealys in this are U-he's MFM2. For recording purposes in Cubase, I don't think there are many delay FX out there that compare with its swath of programming modulations. I know there are 2 or 3 others, but I'm not into duplicating effects if I can get everything out of one that suits my purposes. That said, the delay in the looper is fantastic, which is likely why they stopped making it as it might have been cutting into their delay sales. Here's the link to it: digitech.com/en/products/jamman-delay

Okay, the newer version is there now.

Another one using a good variety of U-he effects once again, and guitars with synth bass duplicated by my Tele. Hoping this is just part one of a number in this kind of genre, whatever that's called- listed it as instrumental rock and jazz rock, even though I don't know if it fits into either. https://soundcloud.com/raven-2741/the-e ... ite-part-1
