agreed too...i think they must focus on touch after 2.0 ...they must focus on DAW implements then on touch ...1.3 was a surprise, but i think 90 % of bitwig users don't use touch at the moment in studio and use bitwig for complex live stage (in a 15" without a hight resolution if you can't resize column is a nightmare)

Even i have surface pro 3 and dont use bitwig and touch on it... tried but was boring, the interface for me felt not as good as the normal view. however i created a vote poll for how may use touch screen or surface pro. go in and vote if you feel like it

Dude you need to add a 'Neither' option because I know that there are those of us here who use Neither, myself included.takaii wrote:however i created a vote poll for how may use touch screen or surface pro. go in and vote if you feel like it

Because when you make a poll, you have to include ALL possible options, otherwise it would be incomplete and actually wouldn't really be a poll in the first place. Because you're opening up a poll to random people with a variety of different views/opinions/answers.takaii wrote:what is neither then if its between two choises? If you make a poll asking whether someone uses a Touch screen or Surface Pro, you are leaving out all the people who don't use either a Touch screen or Surface Pro... the people that just use a mouse/keyboard/control surface. Me, for example, I don't use a Touch screen or a Surface Pro, so therefore if you had a "Neither" option, that's what I would choose. Does this make sense?

Neither means that i (or someone else) don't have touch screen and surface pro. Your question is about: i use Bitwig on touch screen or on surface pro. That un-logical here because no matter for what touch device Bitwig is. Matter is - touch version of Bitwig that became in priority after contract with MS.

I see i refraced it stupid. The question i had in mind was not if people who have surface pro use it or not. It would be if people have touch screen or surface pro.anp27 wrote:Because when you make a poll, you have to include ALL possible options, otherwise it would be incomplete and actually wouldn't really be a poll in the first place. I don't care about touch either, but I think it was a smart business move to be the first, just for the exposure and USP, cause we all will benefit from more sales.
And it shows they're willing to go with latest developments, like MPE ...
Btw, the touch implementation was most likely done a year ago, and may not need much maintenance ... So, well, I'm over it ...

I fell the same shonoob. It is really sad case with the DAW now. It is full of bugs and need a lot of improvements. Unfortunately i still cannot use it for music making in 6 months after buying. Seems like i have to forget about Bitwig and be back to previous DAW

really hope they don't focus on this and waste time because microsoft support that ...a surface book here in italy is really expensive and at the moment don't have a good graphic card for gaming (other brands has better device for that price)...so for me is pintless ...still better a retina mbp for music
