Hi ,
At the moment I use NI Battery as my main go to plug-in for percussion. But I can only effectively use Battery on windows. I also use Ubuntu (linux distribution ).
I like Battery as each sample can be modified (including the audio envelope) and controlled in Tracktion. Is there are alternative way I can have a similar control over a ,for an example, one shot percussive sound, that will be cross platform compatible?.

Thanks. Redux looks like it might do the job nicely.
"Tracktion Sampler?"
Handy for loading samples though doesn’t have the level of control/automation I want . Tracktion also has the 'sampler rack,a plug-in rack where each sampler has a EQ,Compressor & volume plus any other Traction effect you wish to add. But ,not a way to alter the volume envelope of the sample. For tracks with lots of sampled percussive elements modifying the volume envelope is a effective way to construct a more diverse rhythmical structure.

The KVR Plugin search also suggests DiscoDSP's Bliss in addition to Redux.
