Tracktion and CPU consumption....

This is more for mac users......how do you think Tracktion runs compared to other sequencers.....just thought I would get others opions. I have used Logic and Ableton Live 4 and I believe I am able to open up more plugins in Tracktion than either Live or Logic. What do you all think? Do you think you can use more soft synths and effects with Tracktion before cpu overload or do you think Logic or Live 4 runs better in OSX?

I actually tried a fairly scientific test before deciding on the DAW I was going to use in the long term. I tested the relative performance of Cubase SX2, Logic 5.5, and Tracktion. All was done on PC (P4 2.4GHz .5Gb Ram)
My test tune had about 32 tracks of audio running to about 8 mins per track. For each application I did the following steps...
1. Import the 32 test tracks
2. Get everything lined up and ready to play, set tempo etc
3. Hit go, play through to end
4. Add some channel EQs and a mastering compressor, play again.
The results were surprising
Logic 5.5 got to step 3 and croaked when I tried to play. Sometimes crashed while creating the wav pictures
Cubase SX2 just about managed to play everything but was really unstable as the CPU was peaking at 80-90%. Certainly no chance to get to step 4.
Tracktion Played all the tracks to the end with no bad behaviour and running at 70-80% CPU. (Note: e-to-e turned OFF). Started complaining once I added a couple of channel EQs. So I temporarily bounced a few tracks down, and continued.
The other two contenders were so flaky that Tracktion won this hands down, no competition.
Since I tried this the first time I did it again using a later version of Cubase SX2, and it was MUCH better, but still used more CPU than tracktion...

I'm pretty sure I can run more plugs and stuff in logic. (pro)
I don't think T is optimised for altivec, maybe that's why.
however, I almost never use logic. (It's the workflow thing
