2 feature requests (In Band view)

Hello,

1) In the Multiband plugins, would it be possible to add a way to manually type in a frequency for a band (instead of only being able to drag the band separation line left and right to set the frequency). I find it difficult to dial in specific frequencies when I drag that line, even when I am holding CTRL down while dragging (which makes the dragging more precise). If i want to set the band to 50HZ, I can drag to 50.03HZ or 49.93HZ, but I can't get it to snap on 50Hz. Maybe when a band is right clicked, there could be a field in the current window that pops up to type in the frequency? Or maybe I can already enter a value but I don't know how (?)

2) Could you add a lock icon to each band (above the bypass icon perhaps), that locks the band in place so that it cannot be moved once it's set?


Oh, and a Global option to turn off ""Show Position" Display the position indicator?" by default would be highly appreciated (the Epileptic line that moves). Every time I load a band, I have to right click the band to disable this option. It's on everywhere by default. I would like it off everywhere by default unless I chose to turn it on for a specific reason

I have asked for 1. Before.
It was rejected because we should just use our ears to set the band crossover. Why do you need 50hz exactly?
If you really need to get 50hz you can use a multiparameter to set it.

1) It's not just about hearing a difference. It makes the workflow faster to be able to type in a value. If I decide to use a 2nd Melda multiband effect and want to set the crossovers at the same frequencies as the previous plugin, I have to drag the line using CTRL to make the band, say, 49.97 Hz. The same as in the other plugin. It's a bit tedious/time consuming. If I can manually enter a value, things will be much faster to set up. One step further would be to be able able to copy/paste the value of a band from one plugin to the other plugin

2) For a dumb dumb like myself who sometimes accidentally selects and drags the frequency band when I am in that area doing something else. If I click a band to raise the horizontal line that represents gain, but select that horizontal line with my mouse too close to the vertical frequency line, I end up moving the vertical line instead of the horizontal one. Not a top priority request. Just a nice to have.

Hi,

It's the moving line that shows the current position. You currently have to right click the graph and uncheck the option to not display the position, but it's always on by default for each band. I am just humbly requesting a Global "don't show" option when the plugin initially loads, with the option to turn the display position on in individual bands afterwards if I chose to do so.

Is it not respected by the 'set defaults' option? If it is, just set up the plugin how you like and use that. Alternatively many DAW's have the ability to set up a default.

If this setting isn't stored then you're out of luck

I occasionally find it useful when the movement is slow, but it can be distracting though. However, I'd rather Vojtech work on something with more tangible and sonic benefits, this is purely cosmetic.

I just looked at the changes for the latest versions of the plugins. Thank you Vojtech for making it possible to enter band frequencies by typing in numbers via text. Woohoo!
