It actually is Bounce in Place, in Bitwig.
sagetone wrote:Re. the save-to location, I already have my preferred location set in "My Library", but BWS still saves to User/My Docs/BWS/Projects. Also, when I try to open a project from the file menu, it also looks in User/My Docs/BWS/Projects, regardless of what is set in the browser configuration.
When you click on Save As, you can choose where you save to no? I can... I save all my projects to my external drive. Yes, it defaults to Documents, but you can save to wherever you like.
Hi anp27,

No, I mean bounce. Bounce in place bounces into the same track, so if you then deactivate you have no track. I think it should work this way - bounce to a new track, and then deactivate the original, making it easy to revert back to in case further changes to the original notes or VST settings are needed.

And, yes, I can choose where to save to, I would just like to request Bitwig to enable changing the default.

I've seen stable calculators. "Hello World" never disappoints unless you type some backwards shit into your computer.

re: bitwig. i expect perfection. i want to wake up in the morning to chai tea and a sensual neck rub when i double click on the cute little red icon at 9:02 AM.
basically all i'm saying is guys, you have 5 people. 6 i think, that guy who talks. that's 5 multiples of 1 and bitwig should be bugfree at this point clearly. don't make me get into the metaphysics of why this works, but i don't know wtf is going on.

guess it's time to stop making fun music and buy ableton again so i at least have a chance of making beatport

ALSO GUYS, one of my 592 plugins isn't working and it's going to ruin my musicial career. HELP??

Forget this one... Started learning about the stretch expression and beat markers.

Sometimes it helps to RTFM. :D

I used Reason from 1 to 5. This was a great example, never absolutely never a crash or error on those years.

One Feature I miss are Ghost Parts. You copy a part/clip and when the original change the ghost parts changes as well.

Forum parodies aside, my biggest feature requests would be vertical automation snapping, and time signature modulation.

1=>Others pen tool waveform (like in Digital performer) (Sine, square, triangle, saw, random, random steps)
2=>Free moving and scaling panel layout (like in digital performer)
3=>Drawing (& import waveform) for the shape in lfo tool
4=>Displays plugins (Freq / stereo / phase) /
5=>video track
6=>Wavetable / granular synth
7=>Invert the zooming action with the mouse (up - down like cubase) option
8=>beat repeat

I think some of them could be available thru the future modular noodling edition :)

Post

Just two:

1. Better multi-out vst support. For Kontakt and Omnisphere.
2. Ghost clips like with S1 and Cubase.

I'm surprised the "groove pool" didn't make it to top 5.
