tempo mapping in tracktion

Hi
I'm trying to tempo map a clip but the midi in the project stretches with the tempo changes. Is there a way to make midi behave like you can with audio when set to no time stretching?

No, there isn't.
There's a "remap on tempo change" button, on midi clips, which you can toggle on and off, but the midi notes still remap when you insert a tempo change.

All good, I guess I need to render to audio before tempo mapping. So what does the re mapping thing actually do?

Then again I could put all the midi into a separate edit.

Since T7 is on the horizon:
Has this been addressed and there are now less awkward ways of sliding the grid/bar of the timeline to a point of the audio (tempomapping)

T7 isn't out yet, so I don't think anyone can answer that question yet.

Tempo mapping would be a pretty big feature addition. I'm pretty sure if they had added it, they would have mentioned it in one of their NAMM interview videos.
