Please fix full screen.

The issue is that switching app takes Tracktion out of full screen mode. This behaviour sticks out like a sore thumb WIn 8.1, where the immersive full screen experience has taken front seat.

In fact it's more than this in Windows 8.1. On Win 7 it was just switching apps, but on Win 8 showing the Ch4rms bar, recent apps, Start Menu and Alt or Win Tabbing between apps takes Tracktion out of full screen mode. I know it's been like this since XP but I think it might be time to consider fixing it when taking into account the increase in stuff that now "breaks" it.

Just upgraded to 6.3.0, not fixed. It would be great if this could get fixed because it makes fullscreen a total PITA on Windows when using more than one application.

Linux has the opposite problem - you can't get *out* of full screen

Yep full screen is a very OSXish thing . I'm on Windows10 , if I want it to work I have to go into the Windows10 setting somewhere and have the bottom tool bar hide itself , that's my work around.

That's auto-hiding the Task Bar you are talking about. Full screen mode has been a Windows thing before OSX, since games have always relied on it.... it's where the app takes up the entire screen, without a window title bar or anything. The issue isn't whether Tracktion can go into fullscreen or not, it's staying in that mode. In the Tracktion GUI it's the icon up in the top right hand corner we are talking about, press it and the app goes fullscreen... for a while.

Yes , Task bar autohide . Yes the top right icon on Tracktion puts it full screen , but the taskbar is in the way . That icon is just like the OSX one . I agree they need a fix for this for PC and Linux users.

The task bar is not in the way in windows on my machine ... that sounds like a bug, if you're definitely clicking the right "full screen" button. The specific Tracktion one, not the "maximise window" button you'd normally see in a window title bar

I´m using a notebook with an external 21:9 monitor. T6.3 x64 / Win7 HP x64. When I open Tracktion on the monitorscreen and click the fullscreen button it moves to the small notebook screen. So "the "maximise window" button you'd normally see in a window title bar" is the only way for me to work on the monitor screen.
I could change the settings and make the 21:9 my main monitor, but for a faster workflow I like to have the taskbar on the notebook, just like my mastering plugins and the GUI of my audio-interface.

Can't you just make your main monitor the one you want tracktion to maximise on, and drag the taskbar to the other monitor?

Yes, if you haven't locked it. Make sure it's unlocked, and then just drag it to the top, bottom, left, or right of whatever monitor you want it on.

Yup, just right click the taskbar, untick "Lock the taskbar" if it's ticked, then drag the taskbar to the other monitor, and right click to lock it again, if you like.
