I have used Massive, Reaktor, FM8 for about four years, that is where I learned to really program a synthesizer. When I picked up the PS demo I immediately started making nice patches from scratch. I did have problems with some of the midi assignments, but the workflow/routing filters/fx feels intuitive to me. I feel like I can get some heavy glitch-hop bass modulation in the box with Melda. I can get lots of movement in Massive as well, but it usually won't sound as full and interesting as Melda without and elaborate, automated FX chain.

PowerSynth is ugly? Sounds like some Yelpers made it on to KVR.

Doesn't look that ugly, but that look is not really inviting as well.

I am concerned with functionality when it comes to my gear. I place importance on form when it comes to writing music.

This may not be pretty like Zebra but I find it really inviting.

Oh, it is a Dubstep synth...and a pad machine...oh golly, how about just a waveform builder, etcetera.

Okay, so maybe I made a wisecrack about the GUI but it was good natured, because truthfully, I rilly, rilly like this synth. It is definitely on my "to buy" list.

Because of the crisp, clinical oscillators and all those LFO type modulation options, I think it is easily one of the best Dubstep synths, for sure. But I will let Vojtech brag about the oscillators! :D I think he was careful not to make them sound "too analogue". :hihi:

Then there are the options for the oscillators to modulate each other, and all those filters, and the modular FX...so there is alot there. And I like those glide options.

I realize many people wouldn't be interested in Dubstep, :hihi: so thankfully it is very versatile as well. So I have had to coin a new word to describe it, and the word is MFantastic!

Yeah, I like that...

"MPowerSynth is MFantastic!"

Now how's that for a slogan, huh?

To me MPowerSynth is the best (allrounder) Synth out there. I've never had a synth, which allowed me to make the sound in my head come to life that fast and precise. I use MPowerSynth in cinematic sounding context much - so the sounds are rather organic (but in the end I use MPS for every synthy sound I want as well, hehe). I am not even 100% sure, why I can achieve such fast and good sounding results in MPS ... probably because of the good controlling possibilities ... and I really like the noise generator, hehe.

Maybe I did not use that much synths for a fair comparison? Don't know. I used Absynth a lot and Massive and FM some time. Before MPS I liked to use Harmor and Sytrus. Way too late I switched to MPS, since unfortunately I was a bit too scared to use it. I think that you'll love MPS once you understand it.
