I haven't read whole thread and I hate Arturia. But why someone even mentioning this company in analog emulation thread -- they never have any relation to emulation of something.

Well if you'd read the thread, you'd have the answer, wouldn't you?david.beholder wrote:But why someone even mentioning this company in analog emulation thread -- they never have any relation to emulation of something.

But seriously, all their soft synths are meant to be emulations of the synth they're... even named after.

*Scratching head* so you mean Diva should emulate... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montserrat_Caball%C3%A9chk071 wrote:But seriously, all their soft synths are meant to be emulations of the synth they're... even named after.david.beholder wrote:they never have any relation to emulation of something.
*Scratching head even more* So you mean that Tal Uno-LX is wrong emulation because IT DOES SOUND EXACTLY like 99% tones coming from Juno. And Arturia plugins are right emulation because they NEVER EVEN ARBITRARY SOUND like what it's intended to emulate. Am I getting you right?chk071 wrote:Just because YOU think they don't have any relation to emulation doesn't mean they're not emulations. Unless you think if it doesn't sound EXACTLY the same with every tone coming out of it doesn't make them emulations, which would mean that there actually are no emulations at all, because they're all not 100% accurate because that is simply not possible.
Arturia is easy to bash: it sounds bad and have humongus attitude.chk071 wrote:But hey, at least you bashed Arturia once a day, if that makes you feel better.
Thanks Captain O. By the way I've copied first sentence of my post from post on previous page http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 4#p6377514 just to make fun on Arturia Defence Force -- they are not reading context but appear when you say something about Arturia regardless how valid it is.beely wrote:Well if you'd read the thread, you'd have the answer, wouldn't you?

No, obviously i mean the Arturia synths, like you did.david.beholder wrote:*Scratching head* so you mean Diva should emulate... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montserrat_Caball%C3%A9chk071 wrote:But seriously, all their soft synths are meant to be emulations of the synth they're... even named after.david.beholder wrote:they never have any relation to emulation of something.
Well, you said that Arturia's synths have nothing to do with emulations, yet that's exactly what they are, and they're supposed to be. Obviously you don't think they sound like the synths they're supposed to emulate, so i figure you want more authenticity. Saying that TAL-UNO-LX sounds 99% like the real thing is a statement, an opinion. And unless you actually own the real thing, and compare hundreds of sound, it basically remains an opinion. Maybe there's people disagreeing with you. Pretty likely considering the many discussions about analog authenticity, and the loads of failed A/B tests.david.beholder wrote:*Scratching head even more* So you mean that Tal Uno-LX is wrong emulation because IT DOES SOUND EXACTLY like 99% tones coming from Juno. In your opinion. It all comes down to that. Just an opinion, with which others may disagree. So don't make it look like a fact that "they never have any relation to emulation of something", because that's not a fact, it's just your opinion, nothing more. The synth surely have been A/B'd with the original to relate to them, they have the same controls, and look like them. They even licensed the original names from some of the company. If not emulations of those, what are those then? Are all the Elektrostudio no emulations either then, because they don't sound 100% like the real thing? Model E from Steinberg no emulation then because the sound is weak by nowadays standard? Nah, that makes no sense at all.david.beholder wrote:Arturia is easy to bash: it sounds bad and have humongus attitude.chk071 wrote:But hey, at least you bashed Arturia once a day, if that makes you feel better.

Okay, man if you re-read your sentence you'd notice that you're spilling water. And it looks like other thab "different/other people think that they blah-blah" and "it's like your opinion, mahn" you have nothing to say on subject. Remember ARTURIA EMULATIONS DON'T SOUND AUTHENTIC and until you have something to counter-argue my statement is valid.chk071 wrote:Well, you said that Arturia's synths have nothing to do with emulations, yet that's exactly what they are, and they're supposed to be. Also don't forget that your opinion on my opinion is also only opinion so in order not to be a hypocrite you should apply the same principles to your opinion first.
I actually owned real 60 and 106 and compared plenty of sounds to Uno-LX, now what? Should I listen to "what people say" instead of my ears hear hehe
Not again...chk071 wrote:In your opinion...david.beholder wrote:Arturia is easy to bash: it sounds bad and have humongus attitude.chk071 wrote:But hey, at least you bashed Arturia once a day, if that makes you feel better.
In my opinion your opinion about my opinion doesn't matter because there is actually no opinion just an opinion about opinion.
Got tired reading it. Sorry.
Arturia emus are crappy. I don't give anything about them. Please reply only about rePro.

Love my Arturia V Collection 4
Nice sounds, lovely GUI, small footprint, ample activations, fine installation center.
Even gave up my u-he for it.
Edit: but will get Diva some day

Can you guys please move your opinions elsewhere or can we close this thread? - I'm really not interested to have anything u-he associated with badmouthing a company that we have good relations to.

Look, people, a new thread opened on Arturia, why don't you just share your experience over there?

More so, free runnig envelopes and filter. Which Diva has too btw, using a mathematical solution rather than processing all the time.izonin wrote:Will rePro have true free running oscillators like Monark? To me it seems a key feature in nailing that analog sound.

What does free-running mean in the case of a filter? I mean, what does it refer to? Is there something cyclic or time-based about the filter itself as well?
