The thing that separates this deal from previous ones (which indeed were better) is this one gives customers a free upgrade to Chromaphone 2. If it weren't for that, I wouldn't have posted it.
I have no problem with posting it. It is the current sale price / deal from AAS. I am not going to pull the trigger on Chromaphone 2 until I can try the new/updated GUI.

Any word on what the upgrade pricing is going to be for current owners of Chromaphone?

Post

I don't think we will see the price until late March or early April.

Lexicon MPX $39

Does this work with soft iLok?

Post

I'm nearly certain it requires the iLok dongle.

It says 100% for sure here: "This product requires the use of a second generation iLok TM USB smart key"

My advice to pad, ambient and drone lovers: Buy stuff from http://rigid-audio.com/

Bought Padstation for £3 earlier this week, and it is great value, very easy to understand, lots of tweaking abilities, and included sounds are ace

$39 is quite possible (like they did for the other v2 upgrades in the past).
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

20 effects from Pro Tools, plus 8 new ones.
Any Pro Tools users care to comment on the quality and usability of these?

Some folks diss the fx their DAW comes with and stock up on third-party stuff, some buy a DAW partly because of them. Zero experience with these myself, but I like a number of AIR instruments very much.

There's a recent thread here with some info: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 6&t=456512

Is it based on multi-samples, or is every sound based on just one sample stretched across the entire keyboard?

Thank you sir!

It is multi samples

There are 200 sounds to choose from, these sounds are provided in 1663 wav files in the sample folder, so on average each sound consist of 8 or 9 samples

There is only one NKI, but inside that there are two banks both containing easy access to the 200 sounds, so to mix, meld, crossfade and morph is quite easy, and the variation wheel adds even more possibilities for sound mangling

This thing rules. Rigid Audio are becoming my favourite Kontakt library makers. The value for money ratio is off the charts. I couldn't even buy a single Serum preset for the cost of this, haha.
