Don't all the plugins share something? Like a kernal? Forgive my ignorance i know little about programming. It might be simple to apply to all plugins, as the way I understand it, is they can share settings etc?

I believe if you use the 'style wizard' it changes all of them. If you use 'style' it just changes the current one. Not all of the options are available in the 'style wizard' which is why I often have to do it individually using the 'style' settings.

If you apply the style and click settings > set default setting, it will apply to all plugins when you open them next.

Yes, exactly. First use Style wizard to select what you want, then in each plugin where you already changed the style (so it remembers it has something nondefault) select Settings/Settings/Reset default style and size.

And you do not need to go through all 80+ plug-ins at once. Just wait until you open them and Reset the style then if needed.
I would also recommend using colour variations to distinguish between the different genres of plug-ins. There are 8 genres; If 8 variations are saved as the first 8 Colour settings presets then (I think) the right one should be picked up when you Reset the Style to default

You'll see above that I have also added 8 preset folders to remind me of the genres and the standard colour (plus yellow as a ninth alternative to cyan)

Yes, that's correct. But after that they will all follow changes made by style wizard.

I would just sit down with a coffee and just go through them all once, Resetting them.
Then you can use the Style Wizard to build the Default Style.

The style wizard does only include 8 out of 14 styles though.
.. or am I doing something wrong?

Oh, ok, I understand now. Thanks for explaining.
So I reset all the plugins just once. Then when I change the style in one it auto changes all? Or do I need to set default for it to change them all?

Only 8 styles available? Confirmed - I hadn't noticed that before.
Here I have:

You could try renaming some of the Styles you do not want (or moving them into a 'not used' folder). NB: this is my workaround, not officially endorsed
You'll need to do that after any new install too, if you do not want them to be available, as the factory styles are reinstalled.
