I had a listen.
I kind of didn't like it, but I also admired the arrangement and pop sensibility that went into it. Strangely, the word "Britney" appears too often (:D), and it's ultimately not varied enough (for its length) to grab this listener's attention and hold onto it. You have a good grasp of current production techniques for pop music (the samples, EQ, etc.) which is what really stood out, and for all I know could have been the main purpose for crafting the song, in which case you were successful.
Seems like fun to make a pop song.

i think i feel the hot groove you wanted to get, but i'm not sure you achieved it. too dry if you know what i mean (not speaking about FX here). some kind of dirty bass background noises might help.
apart from these little complaints, i must say it sounded very good. the nasty bass is great, and the drums set sounds very good. the production is quite clear, no muddiness. you know what you are doing.

Aye, you won't be hearing much of those evil nasty big long reverbs on todays pop. It's more about layering of sounds and using different eqs/compressors to get a thick sound, with spot fx such as delays flown in on single lines or even words.wopelka wrote:minimalistic production.

I like it. Bit too 'loose' though. I understand where you are trying to go with the feel - but to me it is neither here nor there. Whole thing needs tightening up.
