This one might well be my first Tracktion purchase.

Do you think it will be a valuable alternative to Ableton ? Id does look like it's hunting in the same territories.

I didnt see anything that was an equivalent to the Session View in Live, so no its not an alternative to Live for people who rely on that.
If all you use is the Arrange View, then most linear DAWs, including existing versions of Tracktion, are in that territory.

What about automatization clips?
Just Fl Studio, Reason and Mulab have it and it is amazing feature that i miss everywhere else.

I guess the new control devices might go some way to providing a similar functionality, assuming they can be automated like other devices / parameters. We have yet to see what they're fully capable of.

On the contrary, they are on the opposite, there is no session equivalent within Traction and I think the arrange view is better on Traction.

Tracktion is more a "traditional" DAW where Ableton is more for live.

I dont think so. I know them from renoise, bitwig and max/ableton. lfo looks simillar to reaper´s. Automation clip is very specific feature. You have (ghost) shapes in clips that you can move around timeline and assign them to different modulation targets. Great feature for modern EDM

Woody said "within the month" on one of the video interviews at NAMM on or about Jan 23rd/24th. The latest release date of T4/5/6 was Feb 12th.

The last three release dates have been Jan 30th, Jan 29th, Feb 12th. I expect the next one this month, even without Woody's comment.
