Centrino processors

I use the vb-audio thingummyjig to test raw power on boxes which may or may not have any audio applications on them. I tried it on my work P4 1.8, my wife's AMD64 3000 Laptop and my friend's Sony TR3AP (which I lust after btw) which has a Centrino 1GHz. The AMD was the fastest by a long way, but significantly the Centrino crapped all over the P4. On one of the headline scores it was roughly AMD 3500, Centrino 2000, P4 1150.

Never been so tempted by an AMD...On the other hand, the AMD laptop has 1.5 hours battery life. Pretty poor.
