I bought using the VST link: the AU seems to pick up the same authorisation. It looks to be more about bad layout on the website than a gouging attempt.Sampleconstruct wrote:I bought the AU version, if I also want the VST version, do I have to buy it again?

So do we just download the VST demo from the website and that's it? Because I downloaded again after receiving the order confirmation as I thought the demo was a different/crippled version. Hopefully the dev will chime in soon and enlighten us.Gamma-UT wrote:I bought using the VST link: the AU seems to pick up the same authorisation. Just noticed this while checking the demo version:
Maybe the OP of this thread could correct the title a bit as the synth seems to be called "Arcsyn" and not "Arcsynth".
I admit I was a bit confused about this too and corrected my posts here.

I just registered the demo: the VST link in the email is the same one as on the site. I bought through the Mac VST link as well.Sampleconstruct wrote:So do we just download the VST demo from the website and that's it? So it's free, but uses C/R? I'll skip this one then.
edit: oops, not free.
I'll skip it anyway.

I usually avoid getting new synthesizers, but this is special and will be purchased. I'm also going to test out Freek because I have a new found interest in abusing frequency shifters and this one looks beastly.

Really pleased to read that others are really liking ....or dare I say loving this plugin.
Really like fceramic layout idea with the 16 mod sources in full view at the bottom of the GUI. Gotto agree with Sampleconstruct in that I would like to see more modulation slots (32 would be great) especially if Steve does update with more modulation destinations (fx and Envelope Attack, Decay, Sustain in particular
).
A couple more things I would like to add:
I think the "LEVEL" controls in the mod matrix could be improved:-
A)Currently can't see the exact "LEVEL" value unless you hover over the slots' "LEVEL" control in the mod matrix.
B)Currently can't see all the "LEVEL" values at once.
To solve these two issues, how about changing the "LEVEL" controls in the mod matrix to a simple numeric display for each slot which could still be adjusted in the same way? The only problem I can think of would be finding the extra GUI space needed for these numeric displays.
Also, I think it would really help if you could type in "LEVEL" values directly in the mod matrix - perhaps by right clicking on the amount and then being able to enter in a value.
Been playing with my other new synth, Diva, for a couple of days. Diva and ArcSyn really complement each other. They are probably my two favourite VSTis I have ever bought and both bought within a couple of days of each other. I am in plugin heaven!!
Going to spend some time this weekend to, hopefully, learn how to really use the LFO wave sequencing feature and modifiers.

Edgy industrial patch I made

Needless to say this is taking priority on my next-to-buy list for synthesizers.
