Is that you saying you're refusing to go to the Korg website specifically for your software bundle? That you're aware that there's a potential solution and that you're ignoring it?Carpenter wrote: When I open up the application, they all tell me to click on the popup link that says "Get License Code" from the server. If I'm supposed to be at some other website, don't you think it's KORGS DUTY to see to it that the license link takes me to that other website? I'm ONLY doing what KORG has told me to do at every step. Nothing in the software and no one from Korg have told me to go to any other website. It's not my responsibility to fix Korgs broken software.
Fact : The Korg product page tells you to go there, as do the couple of vendor pages Ive checked. So I'd be really surprised if the packaging or instructions didnt tell you.
You did read that stuff, didnt you?

It's tempting but I'd rather not delete or lock it just yet. I keep hoping Carpenter will stop kicking and yelling and simply do as Ingo suggested pages back.dsan@mail.com wrote:Lock the thread...or better yet, do Carpenter a favor and let it go the way of the other thread and delete it.
For now I'll do other stuff and wait for him or her to calm down, do the sensible thing, and get actual satisfaction instead of a tizzy (no cash value; not valid where prohibited by law). No more posts from me until the situation changes — nothing more to say, since Ingo has solved the issue.

Even though I just have good experiences with Korg hard and software purchases, I understand that it can be so that in a case it doesn't work for the user.
However, that can hardly be called Fraud (re: thread title)
I would think that the the OP needs to go to the link given for bundled software and do the registering there.
It also seems to me that the OP bought the gear some time ago or second hand now, as it seems that Taktile 49 is discontinued
If it was bought some time ago, the code for the software could have been time limited?
If the Taktile 49 controller was bought second hand now, the code could already be used by the former user?

Well here are the outstanding results of going to the OTHER website that everyone here claims is the solution.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Is it possible that you purchased an open-box item and that the software has already been authorized? I've had that happen to me once or twice (shakes fist at Guitar Center).

So you got a bad license code.
Where did you buy the controller?
If you bought at a music shop, go to the music shop and ask for a refund because the product is not complete.
If you bought it second hand, did the seller state if the code already had been used?

So you installed the software and tried to start the plugins and activation from there?Carpenter wrote:When I open up the application, they all tell me to click on the popup link that says "Get License Code" from the server. This is what they tell me on the product support page. Please note the text I've highlighted in blue.
Not sure what happens after it is registered at that other website. Maybe you could use User Net then.
I only have experiences with Korg User Net as i got the plugins long time ago when they were still protected by a dongle.
I never used a bundled Korg software (just the "normal" versions) but it could be possible that you need to install the software provided at the website i had mentioned and do the activation from that.
Maybe it doesn't work if you install the "normal" (non bundled) version of the plugins.

Great! You tried the correct procedure and are making progress.
Since you still need support, go to http://www.korg.com/us/support/contact/ for Korg's phone number. Be prepared to answer the questions other posters have asked above — most importantly, whether you bought the device used.
I think everyone (or nearly everyone) who's posted in this thread wants you to get your software authorized and to enjoy making music with it. If you'll follow the common-sense steps and work with, rather than against, the people trying to help you, you will get there.

Just found this thread at the Korg forum with related problems:
http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... 45090e8437
The first reply there seems to be from someone who bought the Legacy Colletion, not as a bundle with a controller.
This is a procedure that seemed to work for someone at that thread above:
