I have many samples from my old MC-909 I only sampled various ranges of 'C' of many patches but am looking to see how to recreate them in Mu-Synth. Before I get onto this mammoth task, I would like some info if somebody wouldn't mind helping out please.

What I want to do is edit the samples down to single cycle waveforms, use them in Mu-Synth, change the parameters to the original patches (yes I wrote down all parameters that were used to make a patch!), and then save that patch (preset). Am I right that single cycle waveforms are stored in a preset? So I don't need to supply them if shared?

First, is that possible and second can I share them or would it be against copyright? The original patches were factory ones which, I believe, are copyright free. If there's a better way, please feel free to let me know ;-)

Thanks for any advice

Yes that's correct.

If you recreate those patches and don't think there is a copyright problem because you're not explicitly copying them but you are recreating them, most probably with your own finetunings.

Oh one more thing, I forgot to ask, is it best to use C4?
