Love the sounds of Diva, but was intrigued by the patching of Bazille. Bought Bazille and I love it. A lot of effort for a newb but for me it is worth it as I am learning about synths and patching.

I looked at ACE and thought, why buy ACE when I could have Bazille (bigger is better right....)?
There are lots of good tutorials on youtube.

I guess I should download the demo for ACE to see what it is about but I have to figure this thing out first.
Then Diva. Then Zebra3.

Moneypit.
From what i learned from the demo. Teoreticaly Ace and Bazzilie must be the same (of cause Bazzillie is more advenced) but Oscilaors sound differently and filters so u can get different sounds with the same parametters.
So that's why there is no clear winer.
P.s. And that is not only tru with Ace vs Bazzilie but with other manufactors. I tried to recreat the sound i done with Ace with FXpansion Cypher i own. And i was not able to recreat it at all even thou on paper Cypher has awrything i used in Ace. Then i tried to recreat the same sound with Bazzilie and actualy i was able to recret similar but it had totaly different flavor. So there is no winer.

I do not remember when i was not serius here on KVR. But if you want serius you can visit.
1. Music https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... 91BsW4eMrQ ( more to come)
2. Web site: http://давайте-жить-по-совести.рф (not updated for long time , i am pluning to update it after I finish 2 songs.)
3. Book on which the music is in harmony with. http://давайте-жить-по-совести.рф/Miscs/0.pdf ( just recently started, it will be updated)
4. Manual to the Language and writing system. http://давайте-жить-по-совести.рф/Miscs/1.pdf ( Is going to be updated over time. Unfortionaly not awailable in English and not planed in near feature). Also the manual has download link to the font. But i would advice to wait for the end of this month becauses the font is still not finalized.

But what do you expect from this thread? That others take a decision for you, when you can't take it? Noone knows which one would be the best for you from these 2 synths, only you can decide on that. Don't make the mistake to let others decide that for you, you simply won't be happy with the decision, when it's based on others taste. If you can't decide, the best is to buy neither of those.

Ok, fair enough. But when i tell you that ACE sounds better to my ears than Bazille, then that is not very relevant to you.

Post

Get ACE and Beatzille, once you consider you need more features then move on to Bazille
But then a strange fear gripped me
and I just couldn't ask....

First, maybe you need an appropriate environment where to express your amazing skills.

What about http://serbsky.ru/ , would that be close enough to you to spend some time over there ?

This is actually a good consideration. ACE and Bazille are really different. ACE is cheaper, so buy ACE (awesome sound) and try Beatzille :)

What is your goal with ACE or Bazille?

Are you planning on using it mostly as a preset player? If that's the case, spend time with the patches and see which you prefer. Use mod and pitch wheels, try aftertouch and breath. See if they play the way you want.

Are you planning on tweaking sounds? If so, try the demos on existing sounds you like and see if one of the two works better for your preferred style. See if you can change the sound in the direction you want (brighter, harsher, more low-end, modify the seq/arp).

Are you planning on deeply learning the synth to make complete sounds of your own? If that's the case don't load any presets and see if you like the sounds you make from the INIT patch.

Take your time with both. The demo limitation has no time limit and you'll know a tool well when you do eventually decide to purchase.

Or if you don't want to do any of that, pick ACE. It's less expensive and tends to be more simple a design than Bazille.
Feel free to call me Brian.

Get neither. Keep reading through this thread until you have enough money for both. Then wait a month. Then buy both. Then use them till you are sick of them both.

I am not agaist 1 and 2. But yes i am heading 3.

P.s. I think Uhe has the best demos. Because you have fully functional product and you can come back and re trie anytime you need.

If that's the case then you have your answer. The only person that can decide which one really works for you is to spend quite a bit of time with each. Load the INIT preset and try to make sounds you like. Read the manuals, try again. It's going to take time but it is the only way I know how to purchase something you'll actually use and enjoy.

I tried some presets with Ace. I instantly liked fwe of them and i seid i am intrestin in it. I will go dipper by my own presents and see what i can get. After some time of my own programing i quite liked Ace.

Then i tried some of Bazzilie presets. B'eee :dog: . So sterile and lifless. Ace is no brainer then.
Then i decided to try my own programing and instantly wait a moument.... .

Ha ha ha.
