Hi,
I'm just trying out Mulab and I'm curious to know if the slots of a rack are always processed in series.
At least it seems not possible to more than one synth into a rack. If I put a second synth into a rack, there is no more sound coming from that rack.
I suppose the last 5 slots are only for effects, right?

Yes a rack process the slots serial top-down. Cfr http://www.mutools.com/info/docs/mux/rack.html
But you can insert a MUX in slot one and add as many synths in there as you want. That's the way to layer/split multiple synths in a rack. Of course you can also make a sub-mix in that synth MUX.

Thanks for answering; I just did that. Works beautiful!
I put 2 Mux patches into one global Mux patch and added a submix to them. Then I moved the two patch modules from the mdular area to the front panel. But when I click on them in the front panel nothing happens. Perhaps if I try to switch one of those on or off via the visible button there's no reaction.

Sorry!
I simply forgot to choose "Toggle editing". Now it works.
Absolutely amazing!!! You can set up stuff like a 90's style Rompler but not limited to 4 voices and not limited to one single voice architecture. The submix structure is completely flexible.
And you can do all that within minutes. Wow!!!
