Hi,
I've just bought T6 for W8 64 bit and downloaded it but it's not an installation file. It seems to be compressed and the OS can't see what kind of file it is, then it has no extension. Is there a problem ?

Without knowing the filename of what you got its difficult to say what's likely to be wrong, but both the windows installer are executable (.exe) files, named as following
TracktionInstall_6_Windows_32Bit_latest.exe
TracktionInstall_6_Windows_62Bit_latest.exe
It could be that the file suffix has been removed, in which case you can always edit it back yourself. (Might need to read http://www.laptopmag.com/articles/show-file-extensions to do that if you're unsure of how).
If its got some other name, you should go back to the website and download the right thing. Make sure its one of the two files above, and definitely not the Mac or Linux version.

Thanks for your answer, Whyterabbyt, that's kind of you. I've finally managed to download the right executable file. In my download section, there are two available links, one listed in my order (which leads to the wrong file I downloaded a few hours ago) and another above on a brown background I've just used to get the right one. I should have been more careful first time.
