This looks fantastic. I've been holding out for a sale on RX5 but this looks like a better deal for my needs.Uncle E wrote:Hey everyone, I want to personally introduce the iZotope RX Plugin Pack. For the many people here bought the Music Production Bundle, the RX Plugin Pack Crossgrade is on sale for $49 (equivalent restoration suites from other companies sell for over 10x that):

It's near and dear to my heart because I've been using the RX plugins in a mix context for years and have long been recommending iZotope to release them. Here's how I use them:
De-clickDe-hum
- Use before compressing to remove the smacking and clicking sounds that singers' mouths make
Use after LA2A-style compressors to get rid of the initial transients they let through on basses
Use as the first insert to even out bassists who fingerpick inconsistently (I'm speaking of myself here) or use a pickAlso, if you're recording vocals in a less-than-perfect environment, De-noise together with De-hum can go a long way to making your vocal recordings sound like they're done in a professional studio.
- Use as the first insert to tame noisy guitars and bass guitars, especially before amp emulations
Use before compressing to get rid of low-end build-up when recording drums with lots of mics
Bargain Center: discussion, gossip, etc.

As far as I can tell RX5 includes everything in the plugin pack and more, seems like it's just for the convenience of being able to use individual plugins. Kind of like the individual plugins with ozone advanced....but sold seperately...
I could be wrong though, someone correct me if I've misunderstood.

It's for selling their idea of "music production" people. Nothing gained if you already have RXjezjez wrote:As far as I can tell RX5 includes everything in the plugin pack and more, seems like it's just for the convenience of being able to use individual plugins. Anyone doing professional post work needs RX5. The ways it can repair dialog and remove background sounds are nothing short of amazing. However, for mix work, the RX Plugin Pack is more than sufficient.Fleer wrote:How would you compare this to RX5?
