For those in wonder about the 2 free plugs included with latest MusicTech mag (no 156), I can reveal that it is:

Fuzz+3: http://www.audiodamage.com/downloads/pr ... ?pid=ADF02

sTilt: http://www.tb-software.com/TBProAudio/stilt.html

There is some exclusive sample content: Modular synth loops, 80 WAV samples at 128 BPM

Other than that the MusicTech DVD is mostly of interest to those looking for tutorial vids.

Thanks Numanoid - so they are already available freeware anyway... infact I have them :)

It's usually Computer Music and the German Beat magazine that get some exclusive goodies.

The current state of magware of the vendors I check, I rate them in this order:

-TrackSpark
-Beat Mag
-Computer Music
-Future Music
-MusicTech

MusicTech is really bad for plugs and samples, but got a lot of tutorials and workshops so for uses prefering that it is a good thing to check out

I can confirm that it work.
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

Me too, although I had already contacted Izotope to check that my separate purchases of these products would count as a a bundle.

It's OK. There are a fair number of Fairchild emulations knocking around now, so it's a question of which one works for you.

However, there's not necessarily a need to rush. The Klanghelm MJUC is €24 all the time. And the stripped-down MJUC jr, which has three time settings vs the six of the Fairchild, is free: http://www.klanghelm.com/MJUCjr.php

So you can give it a try and see how it performs vs the Puigchild or IK or Slate or...

Any idea how the Crysonic Labs plugins are? $18 for all sounds like a sweet deal. But not if they suck. :)

They definitely don't suck. But what they are and what they actually do is up for discussion.

I owned this pack of plugs when it was 32 bit. They were useful, but for the most part they seem to be various combinations of compression, harmonics, saturation and EQ. The flagship products don't actually tell you what's under the hood, and that can be problematic when you are trying to figure out what your mix really needs.

Some of the lesser products actually ARE labelled "EQ" but probably can't compete with EQ plugs that you already own.

They can be fun to mess around with, and they are probably counting on the fact that, at $18, you won't mind giving them a go. But since they were originally introduced, many other reasonably priced superior products have hit the market, making this package a tougher choice. In fact, your DAW can probably already do what this pack offers.

As an aside, if you're interested, search for old threads referencing this company. They have a rather storied presence on KVR that goes back years. Too much to recount here, but interesting reading nonetheless.
