This is what George said last year when Vertigo 3.5 was launched:
George wrote:R3.5 is a paid update. Downloads/support from any previous versions are ended.

Older versions are not provided but depending on the particular case we can sort something out, so I'd appreciate sorting it via Private Message or e-mail.

Anybody had any luck trying to sort out missing files by contacting their support?

Hopefully the channel bug can be fixed.

The channel bug appears to be fixed. I am going to put it through a few more tests on a demo project and see what I come up with.

Thanks for the feedback :tu: :)

When was the last working version?

Hmmm.... it will probably stay 'upgrade only' I'll wager.
If it does, it's very bad business.
Very true... I've still got the upgrade only.

Nice of George to chime in though and address some of his customers concerns here.

So, the ones that "upgrade" get the older version and the new one. The ones that don't get... nothing. Makes sense

Nothing here either ...

(and I bought it less than three months ago ...!)

I feel cheated!

The fact that George tells us to contact him if we need past products implies, at least in my mind, that his website could be automated to some degree. Because each of us have filenames watermarked and prepared just for us it might not be a "no-brainer" to add and remove files from the website for download.

When a new version drops it might be outside of his means to make it not available to those who choose not to buy it. I experienced this with the Vertigo update.

He has encouraged everyone needing the update or older files to simply contact him. He might have to manually put it together.

Just trying to give a benefit of the doubt so don't quote me on any of the above.

True... But a little clarification here wouldn't take a sec. :(

I have no intention of purchasing this version. Out of curiosity, when the next version 'drops', will that make me ineligible to upgrade?
Anyone who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.
