Well as stated earlier. There are no so called rants at the Tone2 forum and their Facebook page. There's a reason for that. It was set up to protect threads like this from the evil opposing opinions that be. You might have much better luck there with this topic. Demonizing those who see straight through all of this, and are not continuously being hostile towards you, is a perfect example of why some feel the way they do about the whole Tone2 culture. It's just plain bizarre.Ingonator wrote:As this thread mostly seems to become a place for Tone2 related rants of certain members i do not think it will make much sense to post more infos here until Icarus is released.

FWIW, my intention was not to rant, but to point out that it's not cool to advertise a product by bashing others products. Unless someone can show an example of all the synths ("most") featuring resynthesis which produce "poor results", and "produces artifacts". It's unnecessary to point that out when advertising your synth, further, it makes you look bad if you feel it's necessary to do so. With all due respect, but Tone2's synths are really not THAT great that they would outshine every other synth out there. But hey, marketing is marketing.Ingonator wrote:As this thread mostly seems to become a place for Tone2 related rants of certain members i do not think it will make much sense to post more infos here until Icarus is released.

For those of you who are into less commercial/dancey genres, let me assure you this instrument is an instant ambient/Berlin School/experimental machine, too

Been making factory sounds for it and like how everything is immediately intuitive/easy to figure out. The sound engine is clean, not colored/processed like in some of their other synths, which is a big improvement in my book.
