Hi!
A question about Step Recording.

When Step Recording is enabled the Arrow Left + Delete keys can be used to:
- go back to the previous recorded step
- and erase it.

However, this involves pressing 2 keys.

What I want to do is create a shortcut for the Backspace key that combines these 2 actions.

I've found the Manage Shortcuts menu, but I got stuck there.

So my question is: how can I configure the actions described above for the Backspace key?

It will be built-in in M7.

Thanks!! Can't wait for it! :tu:

We have a saying in our country that freely translates like this: "when you give one finger, in the end they take the whole hand...".
Well, in the light of my previous request being honored, I certainly don't want to do that! :)

But I have another Feature Request concerning Step Recording (or maybe it's possible already...).

I use Step Recording a lot, because I'm not very fluent at the keyboard.

What I would like to do, once I've activated Step Recording, is to be able to change the Grid size via a knob on my hardware midi controller.

For instance (it's just an example), I have the Korg NanoKey and the Novation LaunchControl.
Or I have the Axiom Air Mini32 (knobs and keyboard in one).

I could then do note entry with the keyboard, whilst at the same time control the Grid Size with one of the knobs. For me (the untrained keyboardist) this would make it possible to work much faster: not having to grab the mouse first to set the grid size (if I want to enter a note of a different length), but having one hand to control the grid size and another hand to do the note entry.

I can understand the focus is on releasing M7 at the moment, however I'd like your opinion on this request.

Indeed currently the focus is on finalizing a first M7 test version. Your first step recorder FR was quick to do and relevant so i added it on the fly. The latter one need more thought and it's not the time for that now. So i can only answer with this general note about FRs: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 9&t=357048
