I hate those sanctimonious anti-swearing pig-f**kers.
Swearing is part of the language, if you can't handle it its YOUR problem. (you c**t)

Let me say, f**k no.
Anyone who can put up a fiasco like that to drive attention to themselves can go f**k themselves in another wanker's forum.

[edited because despite an attempt at humour, I caught myself being a hypocrite]
I stand by my opinion, and if that makes me a 'f**king fascist' then I don't care. I could be sitting around with my best friend in the world, and if we're just having a beer and cursing for the sheer joy of it, that's one thing. If we're in mixed company or with people who don't understand our humour, we're both smart enough not to do so.
I'm an English Teacher. Without further explanation, I would think that says it all. I wouldn't want to think that my students are getting an education and a sense of the language that makes them sound like an idiot, the way you sound most of the time (not because of your actual intelligence, which is fine, but because of the way you present yourself).
Case in point: I didn't even read your post beyond the first few paragraphs. It seemed like "f**k f**k Blah blah" to me. And in other conversations you've been unnecessarily caustic as well. Frankly, I'm not too disappointed to see you gone, though I'd be happier still if you stayed and took your head out of your ass long enough to realize that the world doesn't revolve around you and your perception of "freedom".

I suppose you would make a similarly hasty and ill-founded judgement of someone on the basis of their accent? no?Lunch Money wrote:(not because of your actual intelligence, which is fine, but because of the way you present yourself).
It's your choice to be offended by certain Chaucerian words & phrases.. fine, just don't try to impose it on others.

Hi there Rack Bitz...I *know* you will read this thread...you have absolutely ripped up some of my threadsRack Bitz wrote:Rack Bitz has left the building
RACK BITZ
Rack bitz...I have seen this kind of thing happen before...people leaving forums because of something that was said about them in jest or as a personal attack.
Life is full of different personalities, characters, opinions, desires and viewpoints. Forums are just a virtual meeting place where all these qualities are brought out and mixed together, most of the time it is beneficial to all, some times it does not help.I know you know this but anyone of us is guaranteed to disagree at some point with the next person on a thread...that's just the way it is.
I am sure each of us have read certain things on threads which we thought was either completely inaccurate or just plain personally offensive but I, as many others do, just step over things like that, share my view and keep browsing KVR.
Dont let this get to you RB.If you have made your mind up then fair enough, but I am pretty sure that the general viewpoint on this forum is that no one is trying to get rid of anyone else...
You and the guys at TF have made a real contribution to the Tracktion community, Valley and Modular started the ball rolling on that front some time ago.Its great to have people in the Tracktion community who are willing to share their hard work and development of plugs for Tracktion with everyone else for nothing at all.
You must have known I was going to post on this thread and ask you what do you think you are doing by starting a thread about leaving...what is that all about...up to your old tricks again Rack Bitz...?
Seriously man...chill out...I have had so much help from everyone here at the Tracktion forum but we all disagree on stuff from time to time if we did not no one would post!
The only thing we all agree on is, I suppose that Tracktion is a great sequencer and will get even better.
If you do leave then I know we will cross roads again on other forums...many Tracktion users post elsewhere on KVR...so it's cool if you decide not to post here again but I really don't think that is necessary at all Rack Bitz...really.

You're doing the same thing [edit: ie platinumears and cypherone, depending on who the 'knob' referred to]. You don't know me. You don't get it. I'm not offended by a single thing he's ever said. I've never TOLD him to stop. I've never imposed a damned thing on a person in my life. [edit: Go ahead and find the thread in question, and try reading it with giving me the benefit of the doubt-- ie. that I'm more like a big brother saying, 'shush, you'll piss off the neighbors' than trying to be holier-than-thou]
If you can't see the difference between suggesting that a person be a bit more selective about their words and a person trying to crack down with rules (and speaking of rules, profanities ARE likely in the forum rules somewhere, though I've never looked because I'm not the police) then I don't know what else to say.
I'm with kids all day long, and a lot of them are keen about learning stuff that goes outside of school. They talk to me about music, and I'd like to be able to suggest this as a location on the internet to check out. And I DO, regardless of the occasional bursts of 'colour' because -as I've already stated- I understand that it's part of the real world, and you'll hear me say "f**k" several times a day, too.
But, I go on too long....
At the end of the day, if Rack Bitz didn't like my suggestion or opinion, he was welcome to tell me (and the others who shared my opinion) to f**k off, the same as it's MY prerogative to say that I'm not a big fan of using "f**k" three times in a sentence. And when all is said and done, all he has to do is ignore me (us), not spew some bullshit rant.
Sure, he has freedom to swear if he chooses, but I also have the freedom to engage in a conversation with a GROUP of people (ie. a thread with multiple contributors) without watching users bashing each other, using profanities, etc.
If you don't share my opinion, that's fine, but it doesn't make me a bad person.
[edit: and also, if you read closely enough, I also don't think there's any reason for him to go. <shrug> It's a choice, not an imposition.]

An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

Platinumears: sorry, I missed that one-- my judgement wasn't hasty at all. It was based on his many posts, in which he has shown that he is clearly intelligent. You don't know me, though, so I don't expect you to understand that I'm likely the most open-minded guy you'll care to meet.
As for the rest...
For crying out loud, if I was such a puritan, would I record a song called "Chug Cock", pen the line "On the bathroom floor, you missed her face, but you got some on her shirt," and then go ahead and play it at my friend's reception, in front of a fuller audience than the late hour would have presupposed?
Sheesh... talk about making snap judgements...
[edit: and crap, I've tricked myself into defending my own character. Dunno how that happened.]

To everyone who had nasty things said to them by Rack Bitz and couldn't deal with that: grow up, and don't be so f**king thin-skinned. Learn to use the 'delete' key if something offends you.

Stop being such a bunch of sanctimonious pricks. Life is too short to waste energy on something so unimportant as laying claim to the moral high ground.
