That's one way to look at it. Another is to realize that to not mention it could mean it might happen again to someone else. And not giving feedback isn't necessarily a sign of a bad recommendation. Especially if one person gives a positive feedback in a completed deal but gets none in return. But I personally search this thread to get a feel of what I might expect from dealing with shoppers/buyers/sellers. There's one person that backed down from a sale after I had transferred the license (I took the risk knowingly) that I wouldn't recommend, more so considering it was a U-He plugin which has a really nice demo version. I'm not sure if it's polite or not to mention him here though.
Just be clear and fair; or not even mention that you won't mention the member in the first place.
