For standalone plugins, there is the handy button to process L+R, mids only, sides, etc. In MXXX I'm not sure how to do this. There is only the L+R button but it is global to MXXX and I want to just apply it to one module. Let's say I want to use MDynamicEq in M+S mode in MXXX. It seems I have to use the 'LR to MS' module somehow. But this creates a sidechain with the side signal. How do I use this with the MDynamicEq module? I figure I need to make the side signal panned right, and make the mid panned left. Then in MDynamicEq I can set the channel for the band to be left or right if I want to work on the mid or sides. Then I need to undo all of this. Do I need to use channel matrix? How exactly?
Thanks,
Viraj.

OK.
In lane 1 insert LR to MS.
Anything place directly bellow it in lane 1 will effect only the MID.
Lane 2 is now your SIDE channel. Anything place directly bellow it in lane 2 will effect only the SIDE.
If you want to convert back to LR insert MS to LR in lane 1. Right click and select input as 1 with steal the input and sidechain as 2 with steal the sidechain.
Done.

You could do something similar with LR to L&R and L&R to LR
Tips:
Alt+click a module in the grid removes it
Right-click or Ctrl+click display the plug-ins Settings
Shift+click floats the plug-in in its own window
Double-click disables it

So in these cases I'd need 2 DynamicEq modules. Would it be possible to do it with just 1, where you can use the Left/Right band settings in one DynamicEq? That's generally how I do it outside of MXXX, because you can change the plugin to be M+S and have different bands affected M or S.

If you used the example above yes, you would need two instances of the EQ. However this method allows you to change back to LR and continue processing the signal.
There is also the global M+S option which will turn the whole of MXXX into mid side mode and then you can use just 1 EQ and each band can be set to MID, SIDE or both. The problem with this method is that the whole of MXXX is in M+S mode so no LR processing can be done.
