Okay, no problem.

Or just make an audio file and sent to me. make sure you keep it loud, aorund 0 db. Just one note, without release, just deacy. Use a sine wave. And give it time to decay properly. I will show you then screenshots.

Trying to setup a test at the moment, with Electra2 and the Saurus demo. Is there a way that the oscillators in Saurus create a pure sine wave? Don't see it as a choosable waveform in the osc section...

IIRC, Electra 2 has it. But if not, filtered square or organ waveforms would do the job even better.

There's a Sine preset in the tutorial preset category. That shows the 4th wave as being the sine.

Thanks, unfortunately now i ran out of demo time, so i can't use it anymore anyway... :/

Post

You can just reinsert it again to demo. I can set a release time of 22 seconds...with no audible gate ;)

Post

Oh... didn't know that... But yeah, same on Electra2. Don't know why Igro thinks that is the case.

So here we go chk071. Thank you for your file! You won't see this in Zebra 2 or Dune2 at the same resolution.

Ok, but do you think that's really audible? I mean, i really have to maximize the view to make it appear like that. Looks a bit weird indeed though, even though i wonder why that would save CPU... no idea about DSP though.

Post

Nobody's going to notice that at -42dB

Post

nobody's going to notice the cpu it's supposedly saving by not giving the full(er) decay. so (why not) give the full(er) decay.

But that's original signal. Then it goes through compressors, limiters and other dynamic processors.

Thanks for this. If I were to guess the synth playing this, I'd say it's Dune2 - the same kind of very clean and a bit characterless sound. Maybe punchier a bit, better presence. Surely, this piece doesn't sound like other tone2 synths (I'd say, it sounds better).

As regrards the music itself, it is very nice, I love it! :tu:
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

I noticed it not by using wave editors, but using ears. But that is just me. It was important to me, when i did some minimal music.
