Same game again with Tracktion...
They add some cool new feature like the LFO Modifier and leave it at stone age level...
Seriously... how can one get the idea to program an LFO in 2015/2016 without S/H wave?????
I really would love to like Traktion... so many nice features... but everything halfbaken... I don´t get it...
Sorry guys... no money from me

While i still like to keep updated with my Tracktion, the fact that Jules does not seem to be at the head of it (Again) combined with the fact that their website is probably the worst designed website i have seen in the last few years, is holding me off from this upgrade right now, not sure Tracktion isn't headed downhill again

Whut? Have we had the color scheme system taken off us again?

I really liked v6 on OSX but then, all of a sudden, it kept consistently going up in a puff of smoke every time I did.. well, anything. This with completely new and completely bare projects. It didn't instil me with a lot of confidence.

I have weird VST performance problems with Mulab (which I still like a lot, but something with my machine makes it crackle and stutter) and am considering to try a new DAW for Midi composing. Now that this new version is out, I'm undecided between Reaper and Tracktion 7.
So apart from the obvious workflow differences, what are other pros and cons of Tracktion 7 versus the current version of Reaper? How good is Tracktion's audio engine on 64bit machines?

Looks that way, though the interface is now called Blue Steel (Zoolander??) and is way too dark for my eyes so I won't be upgrading.whyterabbyt wrote:Whut? Have we had the color scheme system taken off us again?
I dunno, I loved Tracktion so much in the early days but, what with CPU spikes and random crashes still in 6 for me, I still feel it's a neat notepad for ideas rather my #1 DAW twelve(?) years on. Shame.

Man, trying to browse the website...
What a TERRIBLE website. Ugh. So difficult to find anything, a bunch of useless animations and eye candy. The start page is horrendous too.
This whole 'scroll hijacking' is terrible. Why does it need to take me a minute to scroll down to try and find out how much the software cost. Pageup/down don't work. Scrollbar doesn't work. Accessibility and usability nightmare.

They advertise as having an easy to use, ergonomically designed DAW... yet have probably the worst website of any DAW company that has ever existed.

It is striking how different the philosophy behind the website's design is so different from the software's. Clearly an error.Robert Randolph wrote:Man, trying to browse the website...

I also bought the T6 upgrade when that NAMM2016 discount was announced on the 17th (before there was any talk of T7).
I think it was still running on Jan 21st but those of us who jumped on it right at the start might be out of luck.
